So I pretty much joined this fourm to get knowledge about the 13B rotary engine and automatic transmission that goes into the 2003-2008 RX8. Mainly information about possibly doing carburetor conversion for simplicity. Or modding the ECU wireing to be able to take inputs from the archaic technology in the MG. I have a fair bit of experience making engine emulators for EV conversions so I figure with some basic knowledge of the stock ECU I can build a body emulator. I intend to swap the RX8 engine and transmission into my 1976 MGB is going to have a sebring variance body kit and a 5 link rear suspension conversion kit. As well as a custom carbon fiber dash and carbon fiber hardtop. I am also considering if I stick with EFI either turbocharging or superchgeing the 13B. I am also interested in any time of engine dress up kits that might be available for the 13B. The more crome or carbon the better.

the series one (03-08) autos had two different engines. 03-05 had a four port engine and 4spd trans. 06+ has the 6 port engine and 6spd trans. the autos are more expensive and more rare then the m/t ones. the autos also dont last as long as the m/t ones. if you want to carb it you would have an easier time using an older series engine from an rx7 which also handle boost better
