Selling my 2005 Mazda RX 8 $1750

I am the original owner and have a free and clear title. 98,000 miles. Engine seals are blown - the car won’t start so I am selling this “as-is” for someone who wants to replace the engine or to part it out. It ran great until October of 2017, when I decided to garage it for the winter. After letting it sit for 4 weeks, I went to start it up and it wouldn’t start. I thought first maybe I needed a new alternator but it ended up being the engine.

The car has been mostly kept in a garage and the paint job is mostly in great shape. In early 2017, I did have some body work done on the wheel flares on both sides where some rust had started to form. On the the driver side I had a small plate welded in place and the passenger side was just sanded down and fiberglassed over. The results are shown in the pics - the passenger side is already bubbling and the driver side still looks good.
There are some spots of rust on the bottom of the doors which I have also shown.I'm not sure how many photos I can upload to this listing, but I have dozens of up close shots if you want more details

The inside is in excellent if almost immaculate condition. No tears in the upholstry or headliner. There is one spot in the back seat where the upholstery has a small red paint stain and very slight wear to one of the front seats upholstery.

Tires still have some decent tread left. I’ll throw in a set of Dunlop snows that are not on rims and have at least one season of wear left.

I have kept it in good condition since I bought it and have much of the paperwork to show for it. The last time I drove it everything worked well. I hate selling it but since I don’t do the engine work myself it just isn’t worth it for me. Car located in my garage in zip code 02462. Can be rolled out for interested parties.
