wheel hop

anyone else get wheel hop when launch what i should launch at?

paimon.soror 04-06-2011 04:58 PM

9k .

Launch at 2000RPM and the wheel hop will be eliminated.

Dropping the clutch past 5k rpm is a great way to get to your next clutch quickly. The 8 is not the best 0-60 car and in order to get their faster you have to dump the clutch at high rpms. Not worth it in my opinion.

10k

Put a bag of cement in the boot - gets rid of wheel hop 100% ;)

lepichichi 04-07-2011 12:47 PM

the 8 is not drag car.

That would work.

I feared that the statement was going to lead into something more like "put the bag over your head and breathe deeply"

Shinka_MJR 04-07-2011 02:27 PM

sigh...

why...

It's one louder

Serious ... a set of Progress sways will help with wheel hop.

Other than that ... you can put on traction bars or learn to feather the clutch.

 Now I am picturing you boosting around town with your rear end sagging due to the many bags of dry concrete in your trunk.
