what happened to Acosta?

any one have any idea?.....i been hearing some nasty rumors lately and when i drove to enterprise to pick up my loaner car while my 8 was in the shop for a blown trans i drove by Acosta and it looked like they bolted!......saw a bunch of Wallington cops in front of it and they were looking in with flashlights!...the place was empty except for a few fixtures and maybe a part or 2 hanging off the wall...any one know whats up?

rodrigo67 02-28-2006 01:45 PM

ok, I'm not from NJ, but what happened to your ride chris? new tranny. was it covered under warrenty of did they pull the abuse excuse?

chrism 02-28-2006 02:06 PM

i got the abuse excuse but then they found out that a retaining clip popped off and shattered everything inside.....

TsopranoIS300 02-28-2006 06:46 PM

well, I was there a few weeks ago @ their shop in Wallington...

from what I know, they said they were in the process of moving to a new location, which was to be completed by this past weekend...

apparently, on rt 46, in the former Motorsport 46 location, I believe....

I need to find out as well....hmmmm

rkostolni 03-01-2006 09:07 AM

I tried calling them the other day and sending them an email to schedule some dyno time. There phone# was disconnected and the email on there website isn't working. Not a good way to get business.

right, well, considering the fact that they MOVED about 7 miles to a new location the end of last week/this past weekend...kinda expect that

I'm going to be in the area today on rt 46, and will be looking for their new shop....I'll report back if I find them! lol :mdrmed:

chrism 03-01-2006 10:18 AM
