I'm from Fredericksburg/Stafford, but I live in Fairfax and just picked up my 2007 Phantom Blue RX on Saturday. Completely iced over by Sunday. :wtc:

How's the s2000? And, what color is it. I'm around Springfield all the time.

Hello, I'm in Virgnia Beach which is right there next to Norfolk. Which meet are you referring to? The one at AIK or the all Mazda one in Newport News? When are you moving out here?

I think they where saying they meet in Tidewater? If I move out there it will be around the beginning of May, still waiting to hear if I got the job or not. I dont know anything AT ALL about the area. So is AIK an all 8 meet and where is that?

Tidewater refers to the entire area around here including VA Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, and others. AIK is American Indoor Karting which is in Portsmouth. The meet is organized by the Hampton Roads Rotary Car Club. The reason it's there is because it is still somewhat cold outside, and it is fun. Although I have never been to one of their meets, I have been to AIK and it is fun. We have a local RX8 club, www.hr8c.com. Although it hasn't been updated in a while, it is about to pick up since spring is on the way. Go ahead and register there. What kind of job are you trying to get? I hope you get it. C-ya in May.

Hey 7andan8. I might be getting a new toy. My friend in NC has a few 2nd gens. I posted pics of his turbo'd 87 on the thread a while back. He said he is willing to sell me his NA 89 with a camden supercharger kit he had laying around. My wife is not to happy that I might have two toys but I can't pass up this deal. I would tell you the price but I don't want ppl to start hating. He has been driving the car (NA) for over 2 years so I know there is nothing wrong with it. It will probably be next month before I get it....I will post pics. By the way the sc is good for 7-10psi...he has two different pulleys for it.

Welcome Pink..I for one do not know of any females in our 8 club down here so your arrival is greatly anticipated...

Hey jskup I have a problem here..so my bonnet hood dampers came in about a week or so ago & and I trot on up to holland mazda and ask them, "Can you all install some mazda brand hood dampers for me I would do it myself but a special kind of riveting gun is needed for the install. "Yup sure can & it will cost you $179 ". I turned around and walked the hell out .

Any suggestions john on what to do?

I can't seem to find the special riveting gun neither because I wanted to do it myself then return the gun.

Also I've been trying for the longest to register on hr8c.com but the registrar is down or sumtin

Damn that sucks! The service advisor I used to work through, Randy, isn't there anymore either. I would go ahead and drill the holes for the rivets and bring the rivets to so a small shop, The Muffler Shop on Holland Rd. comes to mind, and ask them to just install the rivets. Then go ahead and relocate the wires and snap in the hood struts yourself.

I am looking to get my windows tinted. But with the windows being so small that worries me. I have had 5% tint before on my old car. So I am not virgin to the tint world. But I dunno, maybe 35% would be a good. Do you have any problems with the tint at night?

Not really, I have noticed that the auto dimming mirror isn't as effective though.
