tint question for 617 people
Hi guys i'm looking to get my windows tinted, i live in brighton, work in newton so anywhere near either would be ideal. AVI boston was suggested to me but they seemed kind of weird, they kept giving me different price quotes every time i called, and a friend of mine who has gone there is experiencing some peeling less than a year after.
So yeah, where have you guys gone? thanks

i'm sure there are plenty of quailty shops out there, and this may be a tad far from you, but I really like Tint King in Billerica. Make an appointment and you will be in and out in an hour. It's worth driving a little bit out of the way (about 25 mins for you). Quality work, nice people. I had my last car done there and they did a great job. They have a plotter that cuts the tint film, so it fits perfect.
Go for the (more expensive) carbon film, it looks nicer.

e.g. http://www.suntekfilms.com/carbon.htm
carbon-based tint film, vs metallized:
* never fades (metallized is good about that, but after something like 5-6 years starts to fade)
* better radio/cell phone reception
* looks darker (to me, at least, but I could be on crack)

Thanks astral and everyone, i got my car tinted today. I didn't have an appointment, i just walked in and they were really great about explaining the tints. I got 35s all around, they were pretty busy so it took 2.5 hours, but... they have an AWESOME waiting room, so i didn't even care. Tint king is a great bunch of guys and i would definitely go back to them in a second,
