Selling my Beater - $1000
I'm selling my old beater since I got a new beater to use. The car I'm selling is:
1993 Ford Taurus GL
~105,000 Miles
Automatic
White
Power Steering,
Power Windows,
NOT ABS
Cloth Seats in good condition
Tinted back windows
Custom Sound System - replaced all speakers with pioneer 4 way speakers
450w(I believe) Alpine Amp powering 4 speakers
2x 12" subwoofers powered by 1200w Lanzar Amp
Alpine Head Unit (MP3CD)
Soundproofing done - Ugly looking foam filled trunk lid, reinforced door panel soundproofing. Anything that rattles has been foam mounted.
This car sounds REALLY good.
Transmission rebuilt ~ 74k miles. Oil freshly changed. New Tires ~3000 miles ago. New Plugs, New wires.
Drives pretty well. Suspension is a bit soft, but it's livable for a cheap beater.
I'll sell it for $1000.
The reason I'm selling is that I've upgraded to Miata(the beater) and I have my 8, and I don't want to keep making insurance payments on the Taurus. It's a pretty dependable car, but I'm selling it AS-IS. PM Me if you're interested.

Chris a Miata beater? Strange beater... It's 2 seat roadster, rear wheel drive, convertible, and it's not a great car to be crashing into things (just in case!).

The miata I have has a hard top, 174,000 miles, and gets really good gas mileage. If I need to haul things like groceries(which I don't usually need to fit any more than in the passenger seat and the trunk), I can take the 8. If I can't fit the stuff in there, I can borrow my brother's truck.
Not to mention the miata is a blast to drive and handles great, so I can avoid accidents easier. Still gotta get some winter tires for it though...
