hey guys im gonna start on a rx8 comic, some what like initial d, but through the perspective of an 8. im only gonna draw about 5 pgs maybe more. so i had some questions for you. what are the top 5 cars that match up with the rx? and any ideas on the tittle? thanks guys! :cuddle:

yeah i knew about s2k and 350z but it the sti and evo didnt come to mind

I wouldn't call them direct contenders since they're both AWD. They are frequently thought of when it comes to imports though.

nice, i got the first layout of the first pg. ill share it with you guys. please dont leak it out, dont want others copying. heres the first pg writen by Cymon Holzschuh :
Comic 1: Fixer-Upper-
Panel 1: *3/4ths view behind the RX-8, left-rear corner closest to the viewer. It sits in a small garage, and has many dents and scratches; its left taillight is busted out, and the left tire has been slashed. The main character (need a name for him!) and his Dad is speaking off-screen, at the front of the car*

Dad: "What happened to it?"

Main: "A few locals took baseball bats and keys to it. Owner owes them money."

Panel 2: *Side-view of the left side of the car, with the hood open; the main character is closely inspecting the engine bay. His Dad is standing further back, hands in pockets, considering*

Dad: "Is that why it's so cheap?"

Main: "Probably. He wants payment up-front, cash. Probably going to pay off them off with it."

Panel 3: *If you'd like, you can have this shot be of the engine, unscratched and clean, from the main character's perspective - use your own car for reference, or this picture. Otherwise, skip this page and add the dialogue to panel 4*

Dad: "Engine looks good."

Main: "The maintenance logs check out, and there's no internal damage. It's been well taken-care of."

Panel 4: *This is the establishing shot of the main character; it's very important to make him look exactly the way you want him to. This is after work, so grease spots on his face and clothing, as well as any other details you can think of would be ideal. He is looking to his right, at his Dad*

Dad: "Gonna need a lot of work, though."

Main: "I'll do all of the bodywork myself, on my own time. It won't interfere with my work at the shop."

Panel 5: *Establishing shot of the Dad, grizzled, aged, and traditional. He strokes his chin with a grease-blackened hand, and almost looks like he's growling in contemplation*

Dad: "..."

Panel 6: *Outside shot of the small garage; the front of the RX-8 and the two characters are visible, but undetailed*

Dad: "I'll allow it." "Let's go to the bank."

Main: "Thanks, Dad."

yeah, im working on pg2 right now so ill post it asap. btw colors and lettering wont be up till im done with 22pgs, so sorry! :(
