Rotor Jam 2008: Car Show Results
Thanks to all that participated in the carshow. After the expenses were covered for the event we collectively raised $150 which NYRA, NJRA and CTRA will be donating to "Wills Eye Hospital" located at 840 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19107. This hospital's is the leader in diagnosis/treatment of melanoma and retinoblastoma. They have developed many new techniques to save eyes that previously would have been necessary to remove. They are at the forefront of this type of research in the world, their website is http://www.willseye.org/
I will be posting more info in regards to OUR collective donation shortly.
Here are the results of the Rotor Jam 2008 Carshow:

Jay thats great news on the donation bro this makes it all that much more worth it to attend the shows. not only to we all get together have fun enjoy good laughs, see great cars, see greats products for sale but we also give back. This makes being in the Rotary community that much sweeter....
Jay congrats to you and the rest of the staff for putting together such a great Rotor Jam. I am looking forward to next years. Let me know when you start planning so I can help out some more. As "VP" of NJRA (yeah I know I live in NY, lol)....I would be glad to help out in any way possible.
Lets make this grow and become better and better. The track management was very pleased with the way it was run this year...and I know due to the succeess of it it is going to be twice the size next year.
Congrats to all the winners...you deffinately deserve your prizes for your hard work and dedication....

Great job to jay, john, chris, jose, karen and the rest of the Rotor Jam staff (bad with names) and the staff at island dragway. This event was put together very professionally. Even the judging of the car show was done properly.
one of the things that caught my eye even before entering the track field was the Rotor Jam signs that were posted all over the place. that alone was cool for me lol. cuz i remember the last rotor "event" that was held there last year had like a big cardboard sign that was written on with marker and taped to a garbage can lol. theres a pic of that somewhere on here. and like klepto mentioned, the fact that Rotor Jam is donating money to a good cause is incredible. and it does make being a part of the rotary community a great thing. and i think for Rotor Jam's first year the turnout was good. next year will definately be bigger and hopefully the caravans aswell. and props to all the rotaries that showed up and entered the car show, alot of nice setups. cant wait till next years ROTOR JAM!!!!!
