Review on tuning shop in CT: EFI Logics

I recently had my car tuned at EFI Logics in Bethel, CT and wanted to leave a quick review. I do not work for EFI - just a happy customer.

Quick summary: 214whp on a "heartbreaker" mustang dyno, professionally Cobb tuned. Stock, the car made 173whp on the same dyno. All pulls done in 3rd gear.

Their tuner Calvin Dotson (from Cobb Plano) is really amazing. Because the software is SO old on the Cobb for the RX8, they did need to use my laptop with our version of Accesstuner Race to do the tune, but this guy really knows his stuff. He may not be known as a "rotary specialist" (yet) but I have 0 hesitation recommending him to other rotary owners for tuning.

Keep in mind this is a Mustang dyno which typically reads 10-15% lower than dynojets. You can do the math at 214whp and 144wtq.... REALLY good numbers.

Power mods: Mazda Motorsports 7 1/4" clutch, catless, LT headers (old Pete's Speed), Bennetbuilt coils & fresh plugs, custom header back exhaust (my fiance), e60, and EFI Logics tune. Car was compression tested in late 2016 at 125psi after one season of racing, still need to do another test this year (I imagine some doritos have ran away). Stock internally, no porting, just a good rebuild by us.

Dyno August 2017. Power mods listed above, EFI Logics tuned. 214whp.
The before tune ( dashed line) was on OEM headers back in June vs Calvin's tune with the long tube headers.

Stock baseline dyno. Car was 100% stock, only a cat back exhaust (OEM cat), with a fresh OEM rebuild, no tune. 173whp.
The dashed line represents the pull with the 85psi original engine.

And for fun, a pic of my car <3

I can vouch for Calvin too. You’re fortunate to have him up there now.
