We were talking about this "claim" thing, might as well post it here .

the NYC Comptroller Office has a "claim" system that if you believe your property/yourself was hurt/damage and its NYC's fault. You can file a claim against the city.

This Claim system works BEST for pothole(s) damage.

I had lots of damage (as I told you guys tonight) and I filed the claim thru the system everytime, I got most money back. the rest of them I have to pursuit some other 3rd parties and its going to be a while.

if they deny your claim, but you still believe the NYC is wrong, you can file a claim thru the small claims court for a small fee (less than 100 I think), other than that nothing to lose.

http://www.comptroller.nyc.gov/burea...lingclaim.shtm

Download the form, fill it out, and use their e-claim system to file it, remember you have to take A LOT OF PICTURES OF THE POTHOLE/SCENE/DAMAGE !!!!! this is very important !!!!! if you don't they will deny your claim without even looking at it.

and from time to time their e-claim system "goes down" and they have "no idea why", it happened to me a few times so if you get some kind of funny error at or after the uploading part(you will know what I mean), try it again the next few hours.

after you are done filing the claim, you should get an email with e-receipt from the claim system.

Are you Chris ? the guy with the Green 8 ?

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...1601299791____

This is what you need, its 140.99, add another 9 bux worth of stuff like Washer Fluid/Wax/Car wash/etc to make it "just a tad over 150 bux", then use VISA as your coupon code, knocks 50 bux off 150. so total will be 100 + tax, free shipping.

Obviously you need to buy 2, just break them up in 2 separate orders

Monroe is about 40 bux cheaper, but their shocks are garbage I don't recommend them. KYB shocks (the link from the above) are much better in quality and should last forever (but versus NYC potholes ... I dont know )

if you want "stock" rear shocks, I assume you have "sports" suspension (your car is not base model right?)

FE87-28-700 is what you need, 150 bux from OnlineMazdaParts.com (+ shipping, no tax)

Choice is yours

but you should go to another garage and get a 2nd opinion first, but 99% of the time when the car "sags", the shock(s) are the cause.

Cheers

For those of you asking me about puddle lights:

https://www.rx8club.com/group-buy-center-85/big-willy-puddle-lights-189002/
That's the thread for the forum vendor

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-led-puddle-lights-cheap-read-%24-15-bux-180931/
Here's a cheap DIY alternative

I can help you install it, but it's not too hard. The hardest part is getting the door panel off; takes a strong heart and a patient person to do it!

I got the puddle lights couple years ago, but I never bother to switch the bulbs to LEDs ... maybe I should do that.
