is it true if you dont drive your car more than 8000 miles a year you dont have to have emissions done?

 

not sure about that one.....never heard

 

yup, my mother managed to drive less then that in her 6 and she didn't need emissions

 

i could never put on 8000 in a year since the car will be put away for most of the winter.

 

this is what the penndot website told me for where i live at.

Tests: Onboard Diagnostics and Gas Cap Check
Note: Brand-new vehicles and vehicles driven under 5000 miles annually may qualify for an exemption sticker. Ask your service provider for more details.

So to me it seems that you need 5000 miles or less for an exemption sticker

 

Yeah it is true, my friend is looking into doing it with his Civic since there's no way it will pass with all the stuff he's done.
