North Jersey RX8 with transmission issue
Hey guys,
I have 2004 MT with 55,000 miles. Problem as of late is that when I am revving the engine up around past 4 - 5k rpms, I hear a sort of slipping sound coming from the transmission that can be felt through the shifter knob. Sounds as though they are clicks... not sure precisely. Anyone in the area who'd be up for a meet to see what it might be? |
Does it happen in the same gear all the time?
|
Yes. Happens in a few gears, actually. Not sure if it's them all.

I can tell, you that my old transmition was doing I the same thing only in 5th gear and it started with just a slight click sound every time in that gear. It only got worst but it did take about 2 years to get to a point were I changed it. If you use the wrong fluids it can make it go faster. What do you have in there?
|
have you checked the alignment of the PPF?
|
It is doing it in every gear. And it only seems to do it when I am heavy on the throttle past 4K RPMS or so.
Kersh4w, what is PPF? |
