Need help?warranty consultant...

if you have a concern about your repairs...whats covered and whats not. I can help you. I also know about some of the recalls and if its normal or not. This list is pretty big.

If your car is out of warranty and you need work, I can do that too. When I was working at the dealer I was limited as to what I could say and do for you but I left and I'm doing a little freelance work and therefore you bring parts and i can install them for you.

I dont have an 8, I just worked on them. I have an FD, you replied to my thread on the 7club "mid winter meet". You suggested going out by your way on Tuesday nights(which i will do once i'm done with my FD - just rebuilt the engine).

In any case, I know most of us do our own work(thats how I ended up a tech). What I was thinking is more along the lines of giving you guys a bit of an insider's tip on what you may not know is covered under warranty...something I couldnt do while I was working at the dealer(most of the time my hands were tied and there was a limit to what I could do).

If you a question i'm a pm away...:lol2:

I'm planning on it...just gotta reseal the oil pan and fab up mounting brackets for the other oil cooler.

sometimes you live with little things that you can have fixed under warranty. other things you many not even notice, or know.

Why not, we can both benefit from this!!!

wut can you say about putting a turbo kit on the rx8...wut are the things i should worry about and wut should i do to my engine for it not to blow and fuck shit up

Manny2fast7s 01-29-2008 08:47 PM

how youre gonna be able to get anything serviced at your dealer with any aftermarket turbo kit without being friends with the tech? I dont know.

That said, If I had a 8 to drop a kit into I'd probably go with the GT3071 upgrade for the greddy kit or either of the blower kits from pettit or mazdatrix.

Either way, finding someone qualified to do the install will be imperative!!!!

As for your engine blowing up, sorry to say that will happen eventually so be ready. You can upgrade other areas of the car to accomodate the kit and bump up you maintenance intervals. The one and only car i've seen with a turbo kit was a headache. There were a myriad of issues with the e-manage. The owner took it to everyone that would look at it and they in turn rewired, retuned, or unplugged stuff to the point where as much as I wanted to help the guy it was more of a "WIFE" than anything else. Didnt even know where to start. Nobody knew what had been done from the first shop to the last.

I hope this helps.

BTW, this thread is more along the lines of warranty work at your local dealer...recalls, tsb, occasions in which the dealer might "good will" your repair to help you out(they can do that if they want).
