Talking

Looking forward to it. I went last year and had a ball. Added RB sways and Racing Brake 2 piece rotors and can't wait to see if they make a difference on the track. Glad to hear I won't be the only "8" there.

Last year we had 7 Ti Grey RX-8's in attendance!
I thought it might be nice to pit together.
Other colors are welcome of course.

Great to hear that you will be going. Any of your buddies showing up?
I can't wait to check out my racing beat pcm reflash. Kind of hard to test it out on the street.

I will probably drive my Z, I don't think the 8 will make the trip because I will be broke by the time I get there with gas prices at $3 a gallon. haha you sure you want me as your instructor? We will have some fun rides together. I still remember last year I took a diesel jetta passing everyone, fun times.

Thumbs up

Hey all! It's been like forever since I logged on. I'll be there this coming weekend. I talked to Hank at MSCW's tech night. We both have awnings we're bringing (and I think Mike has one too?) So we can have our own semi-official RX-8 gaggle there. Although for this weekend it looks like the awning will be less a sun shade and more like a rain shelter. Let's all hope for the best!

I'll be there in my 8 as well. My friend Alex (Blue WRX) will also be attending. He's also got a awning/tent, so we'll can all rock the tent city. I just finished a full flush of the break fluid and scrubbing/heat cycling my new r-comps (Yokahama ADVAN A048's). If the rain isn't too bad, it's looking to be an INTERESTING track weekend.

I think there were enough RX-8s there to have a spec race. They all ran in one group too, I have a video of 2 or 3 of them running with each other. Now let's hope for weather clearing tomorrow morning. I slowed down by 3 sec per lap when the drizzle came down. It doesnt take much to slow cars down.

Hey guys,

Hope you are all dried out and safe. Not sorry I missed this weekend at SP...I am currently using my shopvac to dry out my house...

Look forward to seeing you at VIR in June - Won't be driving my 8 but I can't miss that weekend.

oh hi Mike

Who is your instructor?

You should have stayed for the last session, the track was 85% dry. I was lapping in the 2:07 range, which was only about 4 sec slower than my runs at the last session with the slight drizzle.
