Stay away from Wellesley Mazda! The sales manager was great but the service manager was complete nut and he must have a chemical imbalance or something.

I personally recommend Talarico Mazda here in Manchester, NH. They are our Miata Club's sponsor and has done no one in the club wrong. Ask for Jim Van Meter if you head up and tell him Kevin Lemire sent you.

Quirk Mazda....I was happy with the sales process. Quirk's service reputation isn't good, but they took care of my AC amplifier TSB and M flash no problem. Champion Mazda's service isn't very good either. If I need service again, I'm going to give Quirk another shot, if they don't come through, I'll take it to the Mazda Gallery.

I highly recommend Talarico Mazda in Manchester, NH as well. They have been fantastic, and the service manager for the 8's drives one as well!

Phone # 1 (603) 314 1000

Got my rx-8 at north end subaru mazda. Spent 20 mins at Gallo mazda then walked out salesman was a total a!! & went to Mazda dealer by Xmas tree outlets. Spent 2 hrs with nice friendly salesman who knew alot about my car...unfortunately they were'nt good negotiators. Were trying to hose me pretty bad on trade in. <wouldnt even give me poor blue book price & my trade in was darn near mint> So i went to North end. Saleslady was very nice & after a day of shopping I was tired of haggling. Told her I'd buy car right now for 25k & my trade in which KBB said was worth about 3.5k. She looked out the window at my car logged onto her PC & in 3-5mins said deal! Wasnt looking for the worlds greatest deal just a fair 1 & got it. So far service has been acceptable. Got 12.5k so far

I bought my Titanium gray from Talarico, and I really like those guys. However, its a long drive from the Boston 'burbs. When my ignition coil melted, Mazda roadside service had it towed to Wellesley, where they took care of me very well. They were also completely cool when I went in to buy a few spare lug nuts, the guy just asked how many I wanted and gave them to me no charge.

Bought my car from Tulley Mazda in Nashua - no complaints here.

Serviced my car at Mazda Gallery on the Automile in Norwood and can
definitely recomend them.

I called 128 Mazda before, but they don't make appointments - first come, first serve they told me so I didn't go.

I went to 128 Mazda before I purchased my 8 at IRA.
They weren't to friendly there at 128.
I found a better selection at IRA also. They had the car that I wanted with all the extras already on it.
Just turned 700 miles and LUV to drive it.

Wellesley Mazda

I purchased my 8 from Wellesley Mazda and had two services done by their service department so far (one for oil change and M flashing, another one for a console button replacement (it was developing a crack but it's covered under warranty)). Both times they were courteous and professional. I have to admit, however, with only two services it's hard to tell if my experience so far is the norm or exception to the norm.

I would stay away from Talarico in Manchester NH. I have had nothing but bad experience with them. Here are some of the things I have had happen to me up there.

I purchased my car, and purchased some of the accessories one of them being the spare tire kit. When the spare tire kit came in, I put the car in their service to have it installed as well as some of the other things. I got the car back, and they didn't install the spare tire kit.

I brought the car in for a 3K oil change. When I got the car back, the check engine light was on. It took them an extra hour and a half to get that diagnosed and cleared up. I missed a dinner appointment I had made because of it.

I brought the car in for a 6K oil change. When I got the car back, the airbag light was lit and stayed on.

I was driving 2 weeks ago, and my check engine light came on. I brought the car in to see what the problem was. It turned out there was a missing gasket that didn't get installed when the car was built (Not Talarico's Fault), and some water
got in where it shouldn't have. While they were fixing that, one of their employees hit my car with a truck. They sent the car out to be fixed, and I get the car back, and the Joystick was broken off of the navigation control.

Thumbs up

Well on the contrary, I've had nothing but good experiences from Talarico Mazda here in Manchester. Apryl the service tech owns an 8 and I have had nothing but good sales and service experience from them. :D

To each their own....

Sorry about your unfortunate experience, but I have to say, I'm taking my car back in tomorrow for my 25k service, and have never had anything but a pleasant experience.

Some highlights include:

1) Getting the "L" flash, and then "M", when requested with out hassle, despite all the problems others were having.

2) Squeezed me in at the end of a Friday! (4:45 to be exact) to check out a noise I was hearing, that turned out to be nothing.

3) Informed me about the A/C computer TSB, because they thought there was a chance it might apply to me, before I even had a chance to read about it here!

4) Tech took the time to show me info directly out of his service manual and chat about how the car and part worked when he heard me ask the service manager a somewhat unusual and difficult question about the 8 and how it worked.

5) noticed that the Mazda recommended maintenance schedule did not include a standard air cabin filter that most all Mazda’s have changed at the same time and called to find out if it was taken care of under my free factory-scheduled maintenance program, and find out when it should be serviced, since it was not listed at all on there maintenance schedule (it is in the manual).

6) replaced my plugs as per the "flooded no start TSB", because the tech felt it had produced a hard start when he went to pull it in the garage (and yes, it did... took about 5 -10 seconds to turn over, first time ever). They did this as preventative, it probably wouldn't have had a problem immediately, but it did struggle to start a bit, and they choose to make it right now, rather then wait for me to have a real problem.

I know I have a new model and an early manufacturing build for that new model. I except there will be little issues along the way, and with my mileage, I'm bound to find them before many others... but I feel very confident that Talarico will make sure my 8 stays on the road!

I hope you have a better experience in the future; these guys have gone way beyond any other dealer I've worked with in the past. And they've never tried to pull a, "well it was like that when you brought it hear", on me, and pass the buck on something that clearly wasn't right. If they ever have any questions, they give me a call, before they do something, and they don't seem to be content to just fix something, but insist, even if it takes a bit more time, on getting it right.

Quirk Mazda practices fraudulent advertising.

Lease Offer states exactly as
follows: "2004 RX8 Sport Coupe, Grand Touring Package, get yours before
their gone, Thousands under retail, zero down lease $249 per mo. 24 mos,
ex #213001 at discount, ^includes all rebates. 10K miles per year. Tax,
title & reg additional. Extra charges may apply at lease end. Sale ends
10-18-2004." Throughout the week of 10/10/2004 to 10/17/2004, I checked
the Quirk Mazda inventory - throughout the week, they had only 3 RX8s:
VIN#s: JM1FE173440132539, JM1FE173840120264, and JM1FE173540136339. All
three cars had the Grand Touring Package. The said advertisement first
appeared in the Saturday Boston Globe (10/16/2004) and on the Quirk Mazda
website (http://www.quirkmazda.com/en_US/), under ''Hot Deals'' (I have a
copy of the advertisement). On 10/17/2004, I went to dealer to lease one
of these cars (VIN #: JM1FE173440132539). The salesman, Yianni, asked how
we heard about them and I produced the advertisement, stating we were
interested in the RX8 lease deal. My fiancé and I then test drove the car
with Yianni. We returned and after submitting our credit information (my
wife and I both have 750+ credit), he went to his business manager and
returned saying they could not honor the advertisement and produced a
lease payment over $400/month for 24 months ($383 for 36 months). We
asked him why he couldn''t honor the ad and he said, incredibly: "well the
ads are not honest". He then tried to claim that they had RX8s that were
available at the $249/mo. rate when the advertisement was made
(10/16/2004) – that is, RX8s without the Grand Touring Package. This was
untrue since I had noted they had only the 3 RX8s with the Grand Touring
Package the entire week. He again went to his business manager and came
back with a $369/mo. price for 36 months (still over $400/mo. for 24
mos.). Using the same #s provided by Quirk, the lease payment would be
$467/month, nearly twice the advertised price. Quirk Mazda intentionally
advertised a price of $249/mo. for 24 mo''s (plus tax title & reg),
acknowledged they never had any intention to honor the advertisement
(claiming the advertisements aren''t honest) then offered a price of
$467/mo for 24 mo’s (approached two times what they advertised). The
$467/mo did not include lease inception fees (title, reg, etc). Adding
the 5% tax into the payments makes a payment of $261/month. The
difference between the $261/mo. advertised (with tax) and the $467/mo.
offered is a difference of $4944 over the lease term ($467 x 24 months =
$11208 and $261 x 24 months = $6264, a difference of $4944). Both
myself and my fiancé asked if the advertisement was a mistake - the
dealership would not acknowledge this - again the repeated that they would
not honor it. I complained that this was fraudulent and illegal business
practice - Yianni did not respond. We thanked him for his time and left.
As of the end of the day 10/17/2004, the false advertising remained on
their website - after my experience with them, they still have not pulled
the advertisement.

If you think it false and fraudulent, contact the Atty Generals office and let them know of your escapade.

However, many times the ad is written in such a way as to apply to only one car on the lot.. and not the one mentioned or shown in the ad.. to get people in the showroom.. like you.

Good luck.
