Hey NE'sters, car show at Audio Jam on June 23rd
im told by chuck that we already have the group rate...something about "its all in who you know"
I was trying to hook up a tanning bed in the back of my car but I mean, it just wasn't having it. Already having a hair dryer/curling iron/straightener/vanity mirror kind of over did it.
I wish it were that cool. My visor broke and fell in front of my face so I couldn't see while driving. So I ripped it down, the two metal thingamajigers that make the light on the mirror touched and *boom* spark fuse explosion. Thank goodness Mark was able to find and fix my fuse in all of 30 seconds. I didn't even know where the fuse box was...
So Aiden (my baby) is fixed. He will be with me Saturday.

well my baby is currently in for alignment and really more ride height adjustment in the front ride height is at just over 25", slammed doesnt even begin to describe it...but goddam was it fun putting them in and then driving on them even unaligned...ride quality similar to stock and oh my god is there no body roll anymore. So sophia ought to be ready for show.
16 hours to go!!!
for those of you have never shown your car, youre in for a treat....
suggestions: (not that im an expert, but ive been to a few)
1. if you get there by 10 there will be plenty of time to wax/detail your car..so bring some stuff with you...EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE CLEAN - interior, exterior, rims and engine bay...
2. its gonna be a long day - if you have a folding chair, bring it with ya
3. if youve got mods - list them up on a noice piece of 8.5 x 11...laminate it or frame it - be imaginative.
4. if you have trophies from other shows, bring them too for display
5. sunscreen if you need it
6. bring lots of money -
(there is a big sale at audio jam the day of the show)
* a lot of judges ive met didnt know a whole lot about the rx8 and whats stock and what are mods...be prepared to go over your car...
TRISTATE ROTARY CLUB FTW
PS....what ever you do, dont leave your car till it gets judged

as to judges, i dont know all the judges, but i have been friends with one of our judges for a long time. he is very knowledgable, has built several show quality cars himself, and is very fair. like pat said, make sure your car is clean, but clean supplies to just tidy up your car once you get here, ie quick detailer, microfiber towels, etc. as long as you get here early, there will be plenty of time to detail and set up.
thanks to everyone for coming down. i look forward to seeing old friends again, and making new ones to boot.
