Help me price my beater
Help me price my beater
I'm going to be selling my beater, just wanted to gauge some interest on here and see what you guys would think is a fair price. I wouldn't wish the car on you guys, since I know everyone here has a need for speed, and this car is SLOW. But yeah, let me know what you think would be a good price.
The Info:
1993 Ford Taurus GL
Very clean interior. Seats are like new. Back seat is essentially new. It was owned by my great aunt before she died, and I inherited it. Has the 3.0L engine. 104k Miles. Tranny rebuilt at 75k miles. New plugs, wires, and tires (<1000 miles ago). Needs new brake pads. New hub caps. Oil changed every 5k or so. All cleaned up, waxed, looks pretty good.
Ran techron through a few times, and the engine seems to have liked that, as it will drive alright. Throttle response is down, but I think it might just be a sticky throttle and I'm going to try cleaning the TB and lubing the cable today after work.
When you go over bumps, something clunks from the back. I never bothered fixing it. The suspension is a little mushy, but it's an old car. Oil was just changed <1k miles ago also. Oh, the doors on the driver side are a little funky, the back door sometimes is impossible to open without opening the front door first. The same door's lock is a little sticky, and you have to press the power lock button a few times to get it to lock or unlock. Probably just needs lubrication. Also, the car passes inspection just fine and is currently registered, insured, and inspected.
The perk:
Spent $1,200 upgrading the sound system. Alpine head unit, Pioneer digital EQ, with a 450w alpine amp powering the 4 pioneer 4-way speakers, and a 1200w lanzar amp powering the 2 volfenhag 12" subs. It sounds incredible.
