Got a great deal at Quirk Mazda

Want a great place to buy this car? I bought mine at Quirk in Quincy, MA. All other dealers wanted MSRP or offered a paultry discount. If you haven't purchased yet, give these guys a try. I have no vested interest in supporting them....just thought others may want to know. :) :)

but wait til you experience their service dept

I don't know whether their service dept is good or bad. I don't plan on using them because they are too far away. After buying numerous new cars throughout life, I've learned there's no advantage in servicing your vehicle at the same place you've bought it. It's a shame dealers don't give you tangable extras for loyalty.

I am planning on buying my RX8 at Quirk also. Just for the heck of it, did you buy one that was advertised for $2700 off?

Yes, this great deal lured me into Quirk, while other dealers were arrogant about getting msrp. Sc@@w them ! Quirk offers only a couple of colors with certain options at this price, but I was able to negotiate my color choice, winning blue, with the sports package. I'm sure you can get the GT package. See if you can get out of their $199 documentation/dealer prep fee. I didn't. If you don't have a sales guy, my guy was Mike Black, a former school teacher. Good luck !

JPoldo, that sounds like a great deal. I thought the discount was given out for demo cars. What was on the odometer when you bought your car? I'm planning on using the S-plan to get mine, but not sure if the dealers around here are honoring it.

I just bought mine at Quirk. Black 6spd base. I pick her up Friday!!!!! I can't wait!!!

I don't think the dealers sticking to MSRP are going to be doing so for long. I picked my Sport Package up about 1.5 months ago and paid $27K compared with the MSRP of $28,300. Not a whole lotta fuss either, they initially came back with $27,5 - but I stuck to my guns and a day later the deal was done.

The key phrase is "a day later", one should always walk out of the first nogotiation. They will call back to re-open the deal.

I'm not familar with the S-plan. What is it? My car had only 12 miles on it and I got a $2700 discount. Yes, "Red_RX8" is right, you must walk out of the showroom when they don't accept your reasonable offer. I did and they called me back within an hour of getting home. The only nuisance was driving back to sign the papers. They even let me put the entire purchase on my Am Ex card to get frequent flyer miles. That had to cost them 2% and I now have free plane travel.
