Good Price? NJ

My friend is seriously thinking about getting the rx-8 from a mazda dealership in new jersey on route 1 in New Brunswick. They gave him a quote after haggling of 32,500 fully loaded 6sp except navigation. This is out the door. My friend is going to try and get him down to 31,500-32,000. Think this is good? They are also charging for window etching $400 which I just saw is a scam right? By they have a ton of rx8's on the lot, like 30 or so. Also he is putting $15,000 down.

Thanks:)

first tell me the invoice price and then I can tell you if your getting a good deal. I got mine for 750 under in NJ so shop around(I did all my price shopping online). Open Road is a good dealership but the vin etching is pure dealer mark up. Every dealer has tons on the lots go to Crystal on Rt 22 in Greenbrook if you want to see about 100.

Thanks for the info. The invoice on edmunds is 30,604 + or - a $100 cause i don't know if he got all those little upgrades or not.

Interesting because that is where I bought my car from. The only major problem was low air in the tires caused the warning light to go on. I do not take my car for service there I go to Open Road. What problems did you have?

well too make it short after i got my car, 20+days
and was time to get my plates ,2 finance managers called me
and said that i had to come in and re-sign paperwork.
cause they found a problem with the credit and they are going
with another bank.i called my bank wells fargo they got upset that they would try that.but wouldnt get involved as long as i made payments and such.but they(wells fargo) had no problem at all.the dealer said wells fargo is the problem.after a few arguments and harrasement calls i received in my office i flipped a gasket and demanded the owner call me. that this discussion is a
breach of contract.and my lawyer needs to be contacted.
never heard from dealer again until 2 weeks later that my plates were in.i must say joe ferguson and giovanni were the only 2 reps that helped me there.maxon mazda is garbage
stay away from them,i would of glady paided more at another dealer if i knew that was gonna happen
to not get harrassed and shamed stating that credit was not okay after i got car.im pissed off just typing.but all is okay and that dealer will never see me again not even for service.
