I'll be there Opted out of the rainy mother's day event this weekend (too cold for the mother, hehe). Looking forward to seeing how those shocks work out kc.

On the subject of B-stock legal mods, have you looked into lighter exhaust? I'm interested in the Racing Beat for the sound/hp+ that I've heard about. But I can't find stats on stock vs aftermarket exhaust weight for the 8.

Anyone else planning to attend? downshift perhaps?

I'll most likely be there as long as the weather is cooperating. I'll be driving with a 15k mile passenger front tire (vs 6700 miles on the other 3). I hope they are running the course counter-clockwise this time.

I know we have to remove pretty much everything that is loose, but do we have to remove our center caps?...I can't remember how they are held in place...this will be the first autocrossing in the RX8.

Nope, you can leave them on if you want. They won't pop out.

Well one one other 8 showed up. Nice to see you there. :D

We had about a 1/2 hr of rain in the morning during the 1st heat and that was it. We ran in the wet and drying (rain had stopped) 2nd heat and then in the afternoon, it was all dry for our 2nd set of runs. (6 runs total).

The 8 is fun in the wet. But then again, I like running in the wet... :D In the dry, I can't wait to get the shocks on the car to get the car to rotate and stick a bit better. It's just gonna get faster.

Yeh Imp...it was a great time...I can't wait to go again. That last was looking like a sub 80 second run...until I started drifting the last slalom...did a nice 360....ended up 81.something was the my fastest of the day.

These all season Sumitomo's don't like being pushed. Hopefully I can get another set of wheels/tires for the next event.

See you there!! :D

Dang! Looks like I missed a nice event. The weather seemed to cooporate

Unfortunately, I just couldn't get out the door in time. I really have to force myself not to go out on the Sat. night before (Its a miracle I made it to NHIS last time, lemme tell you, 2 hours of sleep was a bit tricky to deal with). Ah well, lesson learned

I'll be at the next one for sure, even if I have to lock myself in my room the night before
