4 Tickets! Yay

I was driving back on the LIE from dropping something off at Ghost's Fedex place and i guess i was overdoing it a little on the way back trying to beat traffic.
Needless to say i got pulled over and the cop gave me 4 tickets!

1. 90 in 55 (No Radar)
2. Crossing HOV buffer
3. Driving in HOV lane
4. Tints

Anyone know any good lawyers? I already sent out a few emails and im about to call up a few attorneys. Only stuff i care about is point tickets -- ill pay any fine doesn't matter how big as long as i don't get any points (ie tint ticket)

Razz1 09-30-2009 04:50 PM

In California they made the HOV lane violation a point ticket.

Check your laws online before taliking with a lawyer.

Razz1 09-30-2009 04:52 PM

Oh ja, 20 over the limit is a no no...

Don't think you can get out of that.

I know you can't take driving scholl for a ticket that is 20 over in Calf.

alz0rz 09-30-2009 05:03 PM

wow mannn that is ridiculous...

20 over in nyc is a 4 pt offense.. I gotta go to court for one of those in Dec, 70 in a 50 :(

30 over is worse, its a 6 pt offense, you can't plead guilty without a hearing and you get a "Driver Responsibility Assesment" (think its like $300 over 3 years)

Juansito 09-30-2009 05:04 PM

I just spoke to 2 lawyers they wanna take my cases for $750-$1000
They said i had 12 points to fight lol said with dismissals and ticket combinations i could walk with 3-4 points

Still waiting on a few more calls though. but ill most likely just pay the 750 so they can handle it for me. The speeding ticket is going to trial no matter what though.

Razz1 09-30-2009 05:04 PM

Gee... so that is 6 points? 2 HOV 4 for over 20?

alz0rz 09-30-2009 05:06 PM

oh crap.. i just realized you got busted 35 over.... did you ask him for radar? or...?

i guess no more HOV cruising for me.. that blows man :(

Jedi54 09-30-2009 05:13 PM

wtf is HOV?

The Reverend 09-30-2009 05:14 PM

WTF is google?

alz0rz 09-30-2009 05:16 PM

HOV = high occupancy vehicle..

thus there are high occupancy vehicle lanes..

Juansito 09-30-2009 05:16 PM

Nope there's no radar so im most likely gonna beat it.

Do cops think they are super-human or something?

so where the hell did he get off giving you an arbitrary number like "90"?

he could have given you a reckless/careless for observing you go at an excessive speed (not that I'm wishing bad on you) without getting a radar reading and those are extremely difficult to beat.. in fact reckless is even a misdemeanor.. jail time.. zomg

you got lucky.

HOV is your version of our Carpool lane????
here in CA you need 2 or more passengers to drive in the Carpool. how many is considered "high occupancy"?

In most states, they do not need radar. If the vehicle paced you on the highway, you're screwed.
If you were only a couple mph over the limit, you could fight the pacing technique but at your speed, it's going to be very tough.

Spinning Sushi 09-30-2009 05:18 PM

Pshhh... HOV, us Californians call them Carpools.

alz0rz 09-30-2009 05:19 PM

i imagine if he was paced it must have been an unmarked car.. unless Juansito didn't notice the cops pacing him?

No he couldn't have PACED me cause i was in the HOV lane and i crossed over the buffer and then i kept driving and he turned on his lights and pulled me over.

We will see im about to call my lawyer back and let them handle it.

Razz1 09-30-2009 05:49 PM
