I'm going to be testing a new steam clean setup that I think might work a bit better, and I'll probably bring it with me to the meet. If anyone wants to partake in that, bring a gallon of distilled water with you. I highly recommend an oil change right after so keep that in mind.

Oh, Riwwp is talking about using distilled water/steam to clean the inside of our engines instead of seafoam

BlueHoney 05-05-2015 12:02 PM

lol okay okay. underneath my hood is disgusting. lol everything under there is dusty

200.mph 05-05-2015 12:05 PM

we are talking about cleaning the inside of the engine blue, not the stuff under the hood

BlueHoney 05-05-2015 12:08 PM

lmfao I get it I get it. Just talking about something I know (the dirtiness of everything) :)

fire hydrants work well for that

BlueHoney 05-05-2015 12:33 PM

lmfaoat your video..not funny but yeah that's effective

RIWWP 05-05-2015 01:02 PM

Blue, this is the concept, though in this video I was testing windshield washer fluid for effectiveness:

Washer fluid is not a good option. And yes, it's safe. Windshield washer fluid is water + methanol, and is what turbo guys often use for injection.

I found that distilled water is very very effective, and it's also really cheap.

BlueHoney 05-05-2015 10:45 PM

So if interested bring distilled water and oil?

QuiQuik2003 05-06-2015 05:45 AM

Oh I've been wanting to do it but I have a small problem called a cat.... I read that it's best to remove it when you try to clean it out.

sonicsdaman 05-06-2015 06:03 AM

I don't think distilled water will harm the cat, riwwp could answer that better tho
