2007 NJ/PA Autocross Calendar
i thought i'd pick up the torch from CRX Millennium (now that he's in SFR) and post an autox calendar for NJ and PA. visit autox4u.com for more detail.
of course philly hasn't published their schedule yet, so i'll update that asap. :) Code:

Nice work shinronin. Looks like Polak is gunning for you hard this year. Try not sandbagging, will you? =D
SFR is tough, top 10% PAX is my best effort so far. Let's see what happens after my single-exhaust/new V710/lighter wheels/DAQ. PS. Mind reminding Ken of my '06 Trophy and jacket (large)? Thanks |
let me kno when philly's gets posted, i ran last year in the bristol area, whatev it was called it was at an old airport. i was in SM and SM2 ....depending on how late i arrived and how many cars were there.
wished the courses were a little more open and faster tho, 1st/2nd gear autox isnt as fun as 3rd gear autox.....if such exists........... |
see you boys on the asphalt.
See my sig if you want Konis. |

Some of these dates look pretty good, ill probably be showing up to a couple with a friend of mine who has a subaru wagon.
Sounds like a good time. -Drew |
the philly solo schedule has been published so i'll add that here soon. more dates will be added to the schedule most likely at the boeing helicopter plant in ridley park, PA.

Looks like i'll only be able to make 5 out of 10 philly events as I won't be there for the 4/15 or 5/6 event which kinda sucks cuz they are at warminster. I'll also be missing the 7/29 event because i'll be in europe from july 9th through august 3rd and then back off to school shortly after the last event in august.

What happened to Philly Event #3 it was there earlier in the day?

update: dunno what happened yet, but i restored the DB row for the missing 5/26 event at ripken. |
is any one going to go to the event this saturday?
|
i can't make the 3/17 event. :( i've never seen a 8 at an autox with a front bra although clyde (DC region) did run a yellow bumper on his Ti 8 to preserve his stock bumper. :) that was always good for a laugh... if you do manage to swipe a bunch of cones some car polish will take away any scuff marks.
an electric air compressor and tire gauge would be nice to bring, but honestly for your first time out just focus on learning how an event runs, ask a lot of questions if need be, and have fun. :) the course will most likely be overwhelming your first few times out, but with seat time you'll improve. make you do the following: 1) bring some drinks and food along in case you get hungry. philly runs a split day format so you won't be there all day, but just in case. :) 2) when you arrive, sign the waiver, register, and get a work assignment 3) find out where tech is located, when it opens, and when it closes. you need to have your car inspected before you can run. make sure you have your numbers on the car _before_ you arrive at tech. 4) when registering find out when your class runs so you can make sure you have time to add air to your tires and whatnot. 5) don't stress too much and enjoy yourself. philly region is running the 3/17 event at ripken and it's a very friendly region especially so for novices. |
Next event is this sunday the 25th! Meadowlands. My 8 is still getting repaired from break in so I'll be at the next event there. Some guys use tape on the car to avoid scuffs. Most paint damage you can buff out so I wouldn't worry about covering the front.
