2004 Rx8 Stalls in the Highway

I have posted this before:

Hey all, so I have a 2004 rx8 with about 78k miles. While driving on the highway for about 20 mins, when I have to brake and slow down, the RPM needle goes down to the idle state than the car would automatically shut off. I would have to wait a minute or two before starting the car again and it takes sometime before the car could idle properly (The car struggles to stay on)

Since than, I have checked the Coils, fuel pump and change the CAT. The car is still having the same issues. I was told to check the MAF and compression of the car.

I was planning to buy a MAF online to replace my older one because I saw another thread which had the same issues as my car. Once they changed the MAF, it fixed the problem entirely. Any other suggestion will be grealty helpful.

I think its better to check your MAF before you throw that 100 something bux out, and you might end up with nothing.

Given what you've already done, i say clean the MAF first with a spray cleaner available at any auto parts store, or like walmart.

if not, get the compression check, you might need a new engine

Thanks guys, I will take a look at the MAF, hopefully that will fix the issue
