RX8Club.com - { FS } 2006 Shinka with Newly Rebuilt Engine and Trunk Damage

My 2006 Copper Red Mica Shinka recently had its rear run into while parked in a residential neighborhood and deemed a total loss by the insurance company. I couldn't help but choose to retain the vehicle, despite losing out on the salvage cost from them. In the past year alone, I had put in an engine from Pettit racing (still have receipt with details and breakdown), a race clutch, upgraded fuel pump, and literally just replaced all three intake solenoids in late November. The engine has less than 15,000 miles on it. Even being nearly 10 years old, I was still regularly stopped by people wanting a closer look and was always complimented on how well maintained the car was.

There is a lot of money that could be gained from recovering and reusing/selling many items within the car even though it was totaled. The damage was done to the trunk of the car and so the true mechanics of the vehicle should still be in good shape. It has a number of other upgrades as well, including a BHR Ignition system, SOHN oil adapter (not yet installed), aFe Air filter, etc.

This would easily be a great purchase for someone needing to replace their engine, looking to replace various Shinka parts, or possibly someone able to repair/replace the body damage (maybe?). Price: $2400 (With newly rebuilt engine, upgrades, and Shinka parts themselves. May consider parting it out myself, but I just moved here to St Louis from South Carolina and so I don't have my tools or place to work on it yet.)
