Wassup guys. UW Madison student here. Just saved up enough to finally afford an '8. bought an 04 GT 6 spd, winning blue, stock daily driver at least for now. Planning to upgrade the CAI in the near future, but not sure if there is really anything else needed. Used to drive a 92 MR2 turbo and a 93 3000GT VR4, and the stock rx 8 kicks their asses anytime. props to devildog1679 for lettin me know about the forum. The younger woman driving the very very dirty winning blue 8 near stoughton lives somewhere near Zimbrick Honda.

That makes sense, I live just down the road from there.

Next week after I drive back from Richmond, VA with my '8 I'll probably take it thru the Octopus on Park. Then maybe I can cruise around and try to find her car & put the coupon for money off your next car wash under her wiper!

No, on the 11th I'm flying to Richmond and driving back with my new titanium gray girlfriend. She's curvy in all the right places, if you know what i mean.

Hey Guys,

Check out the upcoming track day thread. There are a few of us heading to Autobahn on the 21st and 22nd. It's a sweet track, if you don't want to drive you can always spectate. There is also a BBQ on Saturday in IL, not sure if I can make it because the pregnant wife has been sick lately. Don't feel like taking the long drive alone.

BlueRenesis82 07-05-2007 08:49 PM

you'll get to meet the famous devildog!

RWagz 07-05-2007 09:03 PM

Heh, as fun as that sounds, I'm not so sure that I want to be taking my car to the track barely a week after I get it.

I may do just that! I can only come Sunday though, I'm part of my cousin's wedding party on the 21st.

devildog1679 07-15-2007 11:01 PM

So anyone other than myself and Blue going to AutoBahn next weekend?

RWagz 07-15-2007 11:13 PM

No guarantees, but I'm thinking of heading down to meet some people on Sunday, if any of you are going to still be there.

BlueRenesis82 07-16-2007 07:40 AM

Well, we are going to be at the track until they close down the event on Sunday

RWagz 07-16-2007 08:54 AM

Sounds good. If I don't party too hard at my cousin's wedding I'll try to make it down.

devildog1679 07-16-2007 11:07 AM

Hope to see you then.

Saw a nice clean BB at American in Oak Creek,WI around 9 pm saturday

Looks like I'm going to be home Zaino'ing on Sunday - I was rained out this morning & threw in the towel because I have to work this evening, which didn't give me enough time to clay + 2 coats + showroom finish.

Maybe next time...

That's to bad, but I do want to check it out when your done. I used Meguiries three step (clean, polish, wax) after I clayed it. man the paint was smooth after that. The only reason I didn't go with Zaino is the time it takes:Eyecrazy:

Yeah, I got the ZFX accelerator, the cure time is ridiculous otherwise. Now I just have to ignore the orange peel in the clear coat.

Oh, and wish me luck tonight - friggin' weather.com is saying that my area has a chance of "large hail." Hail damage the first week that I've owned my car will not please me.

Edit: Woot! weather.com has removed the hail warning!

BlueRenesis82 07-17-2007 06:51 PM

no hail for the win!

OH, I'm in Madison to, well actually on the border of Madison and Fitchburg. Hope I don't wake up to a dimpled car
