Gentlemen,
please accept my apologies for my posts from a couple weeks ago. I came in with the guns blazing, and I was out of line. GeorgeDubyah, I am glad you got your car fixed. I hope I havent upset anybody too much. Again, I apologise. |

I think it'd compliment the wheels nicely. Though I'm not too favorable of those wheels. |
Waukesha Drive and BBQ
The RX Club of Wisconsin is hosting another group drive event on June 1st!
We will meet at Canyon City Grill just off of I-94 (2903 Grandview Blvd, Pewaukee, WI) at 11 am for lunch and socializing. At about 12:30pm, we will plan to leave for a group drive through the curvy backroads of the area. The route is not set in stone, and we can tailor it to fit what the group is up for that day. After the drive we will be returning to the Waukesha area for a BBQ at a local park. Hope to see you there! Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/601059699906775/ |

77mjd, you might want to give Randy at Triple R Autosports a call. ((262) 719-0141) He might be able to give you some advice or do some service for you. A little drive for you but it might be worth it.
Zoom, Zoom! Have people here dealt with them and been satisfied? I happen to run across that website the other day while doing a search to see if Wisconsin had any rotary specialty shops. I'd be thrilled to be able to bring my car in for work to someone who has a passion for rotary engines and knows these cars inside and out. Frankly, I don't think most dealership mechanics have a clue or just don't care. |

Apropos dealerships:
My 8 is still under warranty, so I still take it to the dealership for service. I have nothing but good things to say about Don Miller Mazda. They have several rotary techs on staff, and from what I can tell, have done a great job with my car. I recently had my engine replaced under warranty from Mazda, and they had me back on the road in about a weeks time, with no return trips. I am not saying don't take it somewhere else, but merely offering another option I can back with personal experience!

Schartz,
If we venture up to your neighbourhood, do you know anybody else up there who would want to drive with us? Message me, lets see if we can set something up with the Club!

If anyone knows a Mazda tech looking for sidework, I need access to a Mazda Scan tool.
My immobilizer reset and wiped out my keys, needs reprogramming. Will reimburse them for their time! PM me! |
Call around to local locksmiths. Many of them purchase dealer key coding electronics because they know they can make a profit by undercutting the dealer prices significantly. Not every locksmith has equipment for every make, but you should be able to find at least one. Most of the locksmiths know who has what too, so it might only take 2 calls.

saw like 10 RX8s around the milwaukee area Friday night

I just hope they can do it! I scanned the system with our Snap-on Solus and it displays P1260 Theft detected, engine disabled. I can clear it out, but the second you key it back up the code comes back. Otherwise I'm tempted to walk into the shop at Mazda and ask a tech if he wants a sidejob LOL. Alternatively I'd hate to blow away money if Pop-a-lock can't do it. I could just have it towed to Mazda(as much as I really don't want to) and take the $50 minus the hour at $115 for reprogramming. |
Figured it out!
Loose connector under the dash wasn't powering up the coil around the key ignition, among other things. Back on the road! |

Doing my research. Looking to add an Rx8 to my Mazda collection. Currently have a 07 Mazdaspeed 6, black. Turbo back exhaust, MS cai, Cobb AP. Oh, the other day I blew past a black 8 with a grey stripe on the side, sorry and no hard feelings. |
