Tuner shops near kansas????

Hey guys just wondering if there were any good tuner shops around Kansas or remotely close to Kansas. I have check the phone books and haven’t been able to find one that works with rotaries or rx8 in particular. Can anyone help??

Check with KC Raceware in the caves up north. They build race cars there, so they may be able to point you in the right direction.

I visited Pettit Racing in Florida recently and Cam mentioned that there was a guy in Kansas City who was an excellent rotary wrench and that this guy started out as a Pettit customer, but over the years had become an excellent Rotary engine afficando and did a lot of business buying parts from Pettit and doing work on the Rotaries in KC. My suggestion is to call Pettit and ask them for the guys name and number.

Other than that A-Spec tuning in Chicago is a RX7/8 specialty tuning shop complete with dyno now I believe. Its further away, but they seem to know what they are doing. The main guys name is Sean if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the help? I'm going to need to get some maps made when I get my engine management and I want to have someone with experience with rx8 doing it.

One of these days....

When I am in KC I would like to hook-up and talk about your Nitrous set-up. I just purchased a K&N TYphoon v2 the other day as well and would love to hear your feedback on the intake, exhaust choices for the car. I was just cruising through KC from New Mexico on my way home to Warrenton two weeks ago, and used to live in Merriam KS years ago(back in the late 70's when they were first releasing the RX7).

Sounds good. I love the intake and the way it sounds, especially with the greddy sp2 catback exhaust. Shoot me a pm later if you want.
