If you tinted your 8, where did you go in STL.......and a pic or seven would be nice
I am in the market to get my 8 tinted. I would do it myself, but on my old car it looked bad after awhile. Plus the back window wraps around in the back.
Oh yeah and what are the laws in the great state of 'Missery' Go Cards. |
The dealer did mine. I'm not sure who they used. And for Missouri, I believe you can tint ALL side and rear windows, along with a brow across the windshield. How dark you can go I'm not sure and I don't know the limits of the vertical length of the brow either, 3" maybe.

The rear triangle windows and back window can go as dark as you want. the sides can go as dark as 35% legally. I got my last car tinted at quality glass on manchester road about a mile or more east of 141. I know a guy who works there and they do quality work.

I would post pics but it won't let me cause the files are too big and I don't have a photo edit program. You can email me and I'll email back pics if you want.

I only did the tint on the back 3 windows last time. Did anyone get the driver/passenger windows done? It seems it would be annoying, but kind of cool at the same time?

From what I have seen from other random posts $160 - $140 is about the norm. Money isn't really that big of a deal, but it ticks me off when I get ripped off.
Fisherdn and Genius, how much was your tint. Genius you might not know cause the dealer did it |
My tint cost around $26,000...yeah, the dealer charged a lot but they gave me a free RX8 to go with it. (in other words, I don't know, it was buried in the MSRP)

If you happen to live out in the St. Charles County area, Tint Crafters in O'Fallon is great. It's been almost 2 years and it still looks like new. They did mine for about $160 and I've referred a couple others there who were happy with their work as well. On mine I went with 20% in back and 30% (um... yes officer it's 35%)front.
