Im hosting a car show on June 4th in Lexington, Ky for any of those that might be interested in attending. The show is going to be the first annual Lexistreets.com car, truck, and bike show.
Ive never hosted a car show before but been to enough and have enough people helping me that it should be good. We are shooting for 200 cars but i know that we can get 140-150 pretty easy. All the guys on my local forum wanted a show that was run the way a show should be instead of the typical old school, politacal, who knows who shows we have a round here now. I think i can pull it off, but regardless of the turnout, it may be a good time to get some 8 owners together.

I'm from Louisville and have yet to meet another RX-8 owner! Nice to see one close by..

June is far off and I'm sure I'll have all my planned mods done by then. Check out 502StreetScene.net if you already haven't, theres a lot of really nice people and cars on there. I'm sure you could find quite a few people to participate.

we ought ot get a big KY meet togaether sometime. then you can meet some other 8 owners.

I live in the DFW area but work is transferring me to Louisville. Depending on when my house sells I should be moving to Louisville in the April/May time frame. I don't have any mods on my 8 but would like to meet up with some folks in the area. I'll keep an eye open for you car show and should be able to attend ( just to look, no car to enter ). We have a nice monthly meeting in the DFW area every month ( RX8s, RX7 [ all gens ]). If you don't have meetings like this in your area maybe something can be put together if enough RX8 & 7s attend your show.

We dont really have big monthly get togethers but in Lexington we have weekly get togethers when the weather is nice.
Let me know when you move up here, ill drive to the ville one afternoon and well run around for a while or something. Im normally over that way once or twice a month anyway. Just remeber to check out www.Lexistreets.com when you get here to keep you up to date about the lexingotn street scene

Largest Rotary Motorsports Event in the Country
IRP indianapolis, April 22, 23, 24
Friday is the Rotary Challenge (rotors vs pistons)
Saturday brings drag racing and 2 autocross tracks
Sunday is the drivers school on the road course

This year brings Jim Downing with his 4 rotor Lemans car and Jesus Padilla with his 3 rotor first gen drag winning monster. Seminars, new products, and great deals on parts. This year also bring large tents with lots of stuff to do that's not race related in case it rains.

Hook up with the Lousiville guys for the caravan up..bring some flyers..and let all the rotary folks know about your show. I think Jduncan from louisville is spearheading the caravan

thats pretty sweet....ill definitely try to be there for that. I alos love the way hes got that site setup.. id love to do that for my local forum that i have just started, but im just learning web design and pretty much suck at it.
