My boss at the tattoo shop I work at just invested in the book "photoshop for dummies" and I plan on making a dummie out of myself and developing my mad art skills with a computer =) It'll take some time, but if it's art, I enjoy it!

Hey glad to hear from someone! Thanks for the welcome.
I noticed on slcrx8.com there is a thread about meets/cruising. Anyone in this thread currently still doing this?

We're trying to get one for this month, but not many people have free time. August might be better.

Very few locals check in here often. slcrotary is your best bet to connect in the valley.

We're trying to get a camping trip organized for August, with a cruise at the beginning/end.

Hi Phil, good to hear from you!

slcrx8.com merged with slcrotary.com. If you go to the old website, it should automatically re-direct you to slcrotary.com. If you're not registered there, please sign-up!

The combination of the 8 club with the 7 club was a good move. Many of the original 8 club members have moved-on to other cars, and both clubs were a bit moribund lately, so bringing them together will hopefully reinvigorate the local rotary scene.

I'm currently not in a leadership position with the new club. It's owned and run by ShepFC3, a pretty sharp young guy.

BTW, I've got several eyelid sets that I'm going to send you in coming months, for next year's Vegas meet. Come hell or high water, I'm going to be there if you hold another one.

K here is the scoop... SLC MEMBERS!!! We will be meeting at Valley Fair Mall in the East side parking lot between 4:00-4:20... And will be leaving to head to Layton promptly at 4:30 (Please don't be late!). From there, we will travel as a group to Layton Mall. I will be at the lead (I have a loud exhaust so I should not be hard to follow), we will there meet up in the Macey's Parking lot on the South side of the Layton Hills Mall. We should arrive around 5-5:15 so OGDEN MEMBERS, Please be waiting for us by 5 pm! We will leave the Mall at 5:30, so Ogden members, please be punctual! We will leave Layton Mall by 5:45 and Head to Morgan Canyon and Trappers Loop from there. I will lead this cruise so no one has to worry about going the wrong way lol. If anyone needs to get a hold of me, please call or text me and let me know your forum name so I know who you are if you have any questions. If I don't answer because I am tattooing, don't leave a Voice Mail, I don't have it set up. Text me if you can or I will just return your call via the number you called me on. Please spread the word, this will be a fun time and sadly my last cruise with the club. Please be punctual!!! And yes, you can bring your kids. We will be making a side stop at The Oaks Restaurant as we come back out through Ogden Canyon. They have great food and ice cream with a riverfront view for anyone who wants to sit and chill is welcome to do so. JT, I hope you can Kel can make it since we are doing this early than originally scheduled =) Thank you everyone! Again, please text me with any questions!

I did get some good pics from the cruise, but I may have to e mail them to someone else to post them. I get too impatient with the whole uploading to photobucket first stuff so if someone wants to take care of that, let me know and I will e mail them to you.

Ok in other news, since a lot of people didn't go on the cruise, I vote to have a dinner night. I know money can be tight, but some options are Olive Garden has their never ending pasta bowl special going on right now, and Texas Roadhouse offers dinners starting at 7.99 before 6 pm during the week (not sure about the weekend). So lets rack our schedules together and do a dinner night as a group!

Dinner is always cheaper than a full tank of gas... Well, for some of us lol! But it sure does not take as long, more socializing and seems to be a lot bigger turn out. Suggestions???
