54 down, 36 to go.

That is all.

Jethro Tull 01-23-2010 03:53 PM

No, that's not all.

I cheated and drove the 8 yesterday before the rain started falling. It renewed my soul and restored my faith that spring will soon be here.

:)

Jethro Tull 01-24-2010 10:21 PM

55 down, 35 to go. :)

rx8snowboard 01-24-2010 10:29 PM

getting close...

Jethro Tull 01-25-2010 01:29 AM

Dude, I cheated. Friday morning before the storm blew in, I drove the 8 all over the place when running errands.

The grin stayed on my face all weekend.

BHR has the plugs for the best price, $80 for the set here: http://blackhaloracing.com/products-...gine/ignition/ They also have a total ignition solution which is pretty pricey, but I love mine. If you have any questions I'll answer them as best as I can if not the owner of BHR would gladly talk to you, he's a really good guy.

Those are just a couple of places. If you search more you may be able to find better deals.

Amazon is a lot cheaper than anywhere else I've seen. $29.00 for the coils.

Less than $70 for the set of 4 Spark Plugs too.

Jethro Tull 01-28-2010 12:53 PM

That's a great tip, Leejin, thanks!

I find myself buying more and more stuff either from or through Amazon. I'm impressed.

bose 01-28-2010 03:20 PM

Nice, I didn't even think about amazon, they have great prices on everything. I even got my school books through amazon, paid $55 for a $230 book.

I'll have to get my plugs through them. I have the BHR ignition, so I use the GM Yukon coils.

Jethro Tull 01-30-2010 06:31 PM

I bought my wife a toy on Amazon. Not that it did any good...

Leejin 01-31-2010 01:23 PM

Wow JT.. TMI.. haha.

So, just so I'm clear and I don't order the wrong set, it's 2 of the NGK RE9BT and 2 of the NGK RE7CL? It's confusing because Amazon has 2 different pictures on the site for the RE7CL.

This is my first change (30k Service). I'm changing all the plugs, wires, and trans & diff fluids. I gotta wait for another paycheck to change the coils.. They's espensive..

Also, any ideas on what else to do at 30k? I want to avoid the $#!tty dealerships around here and do as much of this by myself.

Jethro Tull 02-01-2010 10:52 AM

Never go by the pictures, half the time they are outdated. And I'm at the office now so can't look up the plugs for you, sorry!

63 down, 27 to go! I can almost taste spring!

Will the groundhog see his shadow tomorrow?

I got mine out of hibernation and drove it to work today to celebrate Groundhog Day, lol.

I was going to drive it yesterday but woke up to a dusting of snow on the road. Not a good thing with my summer tires.

But today it's perfect and I'm taking the long way home. :)

Now there's an offer that can't be refused!

I told the family we are going to Vegas this year, and didn't get any grief, so it's looking good. We'll probably drop the kid off at her cousins and those two girls can go do what they want while Mrs. Tull and I attend the meet.

Still not sure if am going to bring the 8. Can we cruise with you in a Forester? :yelrotflm

Jethro Tull 02-09-2010 10:41 AM

72 down, 18 to go.

That is all.

If you stick a sign up in the window that says "I wish I was a Mazda RX8 rotary" I think we could float it:)

Jethro Tull 02-09-2010 01:25 PM

Who drew your poster, Phil? Pretty cool. I may have to print up a big one of those.

rx8snowboard 02-10-2010 02:14 AM
