Mountain Region Rally

Isn't about time for another Mountain Region Rally? It seems like it was about a year ago we all met in Denver for the weekend. Omicron was the organizer and it was a lot of fun!

Are there any plans for a repeat? I'd be up for it.

endolinz 05-17-2006 10:07 AM

I would be up for it. I did not have my car this time last year, but I]'ve been waiting for a meet in CO.

I would be down for it if it was in Denver or Colorado Springs.

I hope you can make it MadDog I really want to see your turbo 8 in action!

MadDog 05-17-2006 12:58 PM

So we're up to 3 participants so far! haha

Yeah, I usually let fellow forum members drive this beast when we meet-up. Its too much fun to hold-out on you guys!

NMOcho 05-17-2006 02:06 PM

I will go, as long as I am still in this region of the country. Sounds like fun. MadDog's car will leave you a big Kool-Aid smile after driving it.

MadDog 05-18-2006 01:05 AM

Come to the rally after your wedding. Your wife won't mind.

I bought my rx8 about two hours before my wedding. My wife didn't even see it until I picked her up after the ceramony and drove to the reception.

gotrotary 05-18-2006 10:11 AM

lol that would be awesome.. well my wedding is on a sunday , july 16th.. was cheaper that way.. And then i sell cars and its just damn near impossible to get off a sat, and if i do, talk about loosing money...

Former A4'er 05-19-2006 01:55 PM

Bump!

Anyone else? :beer05:

The first two years' rally were great fun, both on the road trip and track day. I'm up for another one....

MadDog 05-20-2006 06:48 PM

Is Omicron still around? I haven't seen a post by him in a while....

Kewl 05-20-2006 08:33 PM

I do remember him saying sometime back that a new work assignment was keeping him very busy. It wasn't going to leave him much time for the forum.

drogers5 05-22-2006 07:24 PM

I'm up for it

doccable 05-22-2006 09:37 PM

Well... I do know that the track event is pretty much probably out. Continental Divide,(Mead), closed up at the end of last year, with no plans to reopen. With that one gone, Second Creek gone, and PPIR out of the picture, the track event looks pretty bleak. I'm always up for a rally, though :)

MadDog 05-23-2006 02:19 PM

Well, there's still a fine autocross track here in Albuquerque! Maybe you CO guys should come down here this time!

NMRX8 05-24-2006 07:38 PM

Where is the autocross track in Albuquerque?

NMOcho 05-25-2006 06:59 PM

Racing southwest list most of the autocross events.
But most are in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. www.racingsouthwest.com good place to check local events

If there was enough interest we could rent Sandia MotorSport Park & Speedway for a day that there is no event. So we could run all the rotarys on it or even on the oval part as well. The ABQ event sounds good to me!
