Anyone got any favorites Colorado canyon twisty drives. Disserted stretches preferred.

Left hand Canyon was a fun tight run during last years run. Catch it at the right time without local traffic and it is all that you could ask for.

Highway 24 from Manitou to Woodland Park. If that isn't long enough jump on hwy 9 through Hoosier pass to Brekenridge. Its one of my favorite drive! :boink:
|
Hwy 14 from Ted's place to Hwy 125, (Walden) to Hwy 127 north to Wyo230, to Laramie, then back to US287 south. Weekdays, generally Tuesdays or Wednesdays are best. Weekends can be hit and miss. Watch out for the wildlife, (big horn sheep, moose, elk, deer and antelope are common). But this is a seriously fun three hours! Anyone who wants to work out a driving session on this loop, lemme know! :)

Sounds good, would love to do this drive, we just need to get a time and also post it on the rocky mountain web sight to get to word out.

Since you're in Cheyenne, you should know that Happy Jack Road, (Wyo220), is also a blast. Long, sweeping curves, with mostly excellent visibility. The only part that's kind of tricky is right around Kurt Gowdy estates, there's a couple of little blind spots in there where your reaction time has got to be on the mark, but otherwise... :evil_laug

Gore Pass just north of Kremling is a really nice drive. Twisty, scenic, good visibility, very low (if any traffic)......

Happy jack is a blast, love going through waldon to, if you are ever in cheyenne shoot me an email.
