    Hi Brettus,

I read from your post you use ME s/w. I have to too but don't know how to tune. Pro tuners weren't able to do a good tune So I bought it to try

Do you know of any videos to watch for training? Any ECU upgrade out of box from ME to try?

    Thanks in advance

    Paul

    Hi there,

As an experienced rotary FI “Guru” I would like to pick your brains if you don’t mind.
Regarding Renesis oil injectors how do they work in an FI engine as the chamber pressure is above atmospheric pressure & therefore won’t “suck” air through the injector.
My application is the Pettit Racing SC kit & their instructions are to T the oil injector breather pipe to the air jet pipe & then to the inlet pre throttle body. The air jet flow will reverse under boost but given the small size of the jet pipes I cannot see the pressure in the pipe to the oil injectors rising to boost pressure as this is connected to the inlet & will simply bleed the pressure off so the question is how do the oil injectors work when the chamber pressure is positive on an FI engine?

Looking forward to hearing back from you with your views.

    Regards,

    Chris

    Hi Brettus
This is a call for Help, which I know you will understand. I have a CEL on my 8, and when I read it with my OBD2 Code Reader, I see Error Code PO351 1/3 G. I have been to the local Mazda Agency, and also to a local workshop that is reputed to do work on rotaries.
I'm aware that this code probably means an Igniton Coil, but No One here knows what this particular Code Means.
I have removed all 4 coils, and bench tested them, with no faults found. If I erase the code, it will return after the Second Startup of the car.
The Car has Good Plugs and Leads. There is No Apparent Misfire, she starts after 3 compressions as You would expect, and on a Recent
from Whakatane to Stratford and back, returned nearly 9.8 Lires per 100Km which I consider good for a rotary.
I Installed a Sohn Adaptor kit when I first bought the car in 2104, and run TCW3 Outboard Oil in it.
I don't know where to go next -- Are you able to advise? Thanks, and Kindest Regards Kayjay (Whakatane)

    Hi, Brettus
Hope you are still keeping the rx8, and still work with it. Actually, I do need your help to tune my rx8 since just finished to install the turbo with the exact steps what you mentioned in the rx8club. I knew you are a professional guy who knows how to properly work on the rx8. If you can help me to tune up my rx8, I would really appreciate with a nice compensate. Let me know, please!
    Sincerely,
    Chengbo Yan

    Hello Brettus
I need some information that You will more than likely know about.
    I have a CEL, which when I investigate with my OBD2 Code Reader, I see Error Code PO351 1/3 G. -- Ignition Coil 'A'?
I'm aware that this code means an Ignition Coil Fault; but even the Local Mazda Dealer and the
Local Rotary Tuning Shop can not tell me whether this is Front Rotor Leading or Trailing Coil. The Car still seems to Start Perfectly, runs without any Apparent Misfire, and still gets very good Fuel Economy like about 10 Km per Litre on a trip. If I reset the Error Message, it will reappear after the Second Start of the Engine. I have fitted a Sohn Adaptor Kit which has worked really well, and Use TCW3 outbourd two stroke oil in it.
    Are You able to help?
Thanks in Advance -- Kindest Regards
    Kayjay (Whakatane).

Hey read your "Racing Beat Duct to factory airbox" thread but the pictures are not loading. I have found several threads similar but no pictures of exactly what I'm looking for. Any chance I could get you to email them to me or post them here if possible. My email is warzone2316@gmail.com. Thank you.

Having reread Greg's build thread with the RX8 Performance kit it has been left hanging without the final tuning numbers. Were you able to finalise the tuning and have you ever graphed out the chart? After looking at the kit performance graph in your album the Greddy UG looks like it has a nice smooth ramp up. How does this compare to the RX8 performance kit? Very curious since it looks a lot like your manifold style which should reduce back pressure pre turbo over the greddy manifold.
