Once and for all does the mazda 3 6 disc changer fit in the rx8? Are teh part numbers teh same? can you give me any help?

Yes it is the same
 

Yes it is the same part the only difference is the added trim panel that does come with it. The trim panel is different for the 8 and the 3. But the player is the same one.
