Mazmart 08-15-2008 02:06 PM

I don't have any right now. I can also supply the 09 version which I'm hearing really great reports about.

Absolute direct bolt in. Your engine revs in 6th will also be just a little lower. The racing community seem to prefer this box so far. The price on brand new from me is just above $2000. Feel free to PM for any further info.

Paul.

Quite intriguing, Paul.:)

rotary.enthusiast 08-22-2008 10:50 AM

The 09 tranny is a direct bolt up to old 8's? That's great news... what about the differential? Is it the same in the 09 just with a different gearing, or is it a different unit, and if so does it bolt up as well?

I'm betting that it will swap as well and I'm going to be stocking the 4.777 rear end gear from the 09s for those who desire those ratios.

Paul.

Time to start digging through the couch for spare change again... Thanks Paul :)

You're more than welcome. I want to be able to provide the most cutting edge practical parts consistently, hence the 09 parts.

Paul.

nycgps 08-22-2008 03:27 PM

Can you pm me the price of the 09 Tranny, Brand new huh? :)

I know I know Im not buying it *yet*. but I buy stuff based on my "mood" so ... :)

PM PM ME ! :)

TeamRX8 08-23-2008 04:37 AM

damn, that's less than my Motorsports price :wow:

but be advised that the trans gearing is different as the 09 also gets the 4.77 rear gear

nycgps 08-23-2008 08:06 AM

Is there any ill effects for using 09 transmission ? like do I have to mod say the ECU or anything ?

just wondering.

Jedi54 08-23-2008 11:51 AM

nice price Paul

Razz1 08-23-2008 12:31 PM

That would be great news to find out we can swap the 4.77 rear ends.

Now only to wait for a crashed 09.

I won't make any claims of better pricing than COMP, just that it won't be too far over $2000. It must have shifter components as well in order to work.

Paul.

kersh4w 09-06-2008 12:56 PM

wow, i know where im getting my next transmission if my current one ever goes south...

great news that 09s fit.

olddragger 09-13-2008 08:41 AM

paul can the 09 ppf, trans brace AND 09 trans be used with the earlier models? I like these gear ratios with with my torque band.

Any general idea of the ring/pinion pricing?

tiltmode43 12-02-2008 10:00 PM

Mazmart 12-03-2008 08:52 AM

I'll be retailing these at $625.

Paul.

rx8thunder 12-03-2008 09:24 AM

Great price compared to what I've seen at other online sites ;) !

Do you, off the top of your head, know the other pieces necessary to do the swap? I recall staticlag posting a thread and listing all pieces however cannot remember it all.

avanti_racing08 01-14-2009 08:18 AM

I have been doing alot of rallying lately and have to majoir events coming up this spring, would it be better to stick with my 04 set up or go with the 09 setup.
