Parts ?

so in another thread you mentioned having all sorts of RX8 things from various components to engine(s) and a whole front end. i'd be interested in getting a whole air intake from the air intake box all the way to and including the throttle body(maybe). including the maf sensor and accordian hose. also maybe the composite upper intake manifold. got those and if so how much? and just in case how much for the engine?

Mazmart 08-25-2004 08:01 AM

I'll have some pricing for you shortly zoom. Thanks for your request.
Paul.

The airbox, intake hose, MAF sensor, resonance chamber, fly by wire t.body, upper
intake chamber would run $750. Be aware that the t.body works in conjunction with the in-car setup, so some programming would be necessary depending on what your plan is. Dressed motors average between $4000 to $5000. I've got one here now with 5 miles on it. I'm gonna need a little more for it.

i will get back to you on the whole motor ;) but let me see what i can pull together for the rest. i am seriously interested those parts. i might have to aquire them a couple bits at a time. thanks.

Let me know what you want to do. Take your time. I'll try to do package pricing if you order any number of items at the same time. Something to consider.
Paul.

zoom44 08-30-2004 05:54 PM

well how about just the intake box, mafs and hose? could you also clarify the last bit about package pricing?

Mazmart 08-31-2004 05:36 PM

Zoom,
I've only got 1 of those setups left and it's from the 5 mile car. I'm gonna contemplate whether I can sell that one since they often are sold as part of the front clip assy. I'll let you know something tomorrow.
Paul.

zoom44 08-31-2004 07:25 PM

cool thanks. im not in a hurry right now so i understand if you dont want to pull it out of the front clip.

Mazmart 09-02-2004 05:33 PM

Haven't forgotten you. Let you know something soon.
Paul.

make your own thread geek;) you know after the time spent looking at everything and talking to the folks at racing beat on sunday i think i might need something else down the line. probably wont be until next year but i think im going to want a renesis block :) that way i can take it apart, get it ported and polished (especially that exhaust port!! that thing is just ugly!) then drop it in my car:) i bet there is 30% more power in those ports!!! so how much is a rene right now? is Ivan the hurricane coming your way?

No the hurricane is going to miss us. I feel bad for whoever gets this thing. Anyways. I am also thinking of getting a renesis middle and rear houseing. Maybe next year. Mazdatrix allready has them. I might take a drive to pettit raceing to see how much it would cost. Just for shits and giggles

Mazmart 09-14-2004 04:52 PM

A long block today could start as cheap as $3500 vs the $6350 at Mazda.
That's naked and that's today.
Paul.
PS zoom it was a pleasure meeting you.

zoom44 09-15-2004 08:58 PM

Gladiatoiz 12-14-2004 06:12 PM

im looking for the stock kit for the front. how much? also the grill and some plastic parts that hold the foglights and the white foam. Also the bottem plasitc that keeps the dirt from comming into the air cooler.

Mazmart 12-21-2004 06:39 PM

All that I have would be an entire front clip right now. That's probably ten times as much as you were planning on spending.
Paul.
