Need rx8 engine

What I need is a complete engine for mock-up purposes.
Did I say Rx8 engine?
It doesn't even have to run, just have all accesorys on it.
You can contact me any way you like. I'm not hard to find.

A quote for different stages of goodness would be nice.

Thanks in advance, Richard

Hey Richard,
I've got a few in stock but they are all good units. People seem to want to keep their cores most of the time. My highest mileage is 6k. I would do as cheap as $2000 with core exchange if you had it. I'll PM you further details.
Paul.

That's correct. As long as I get back the same components in core form I will do $2000 which is the cheapest in the US for low mileage units with any warranty.

He's right, that is the best deal you'll find. I didn't buy one from him because I had no core to return and I'm on the other side of the country.

I believe core is your old <insert what your replacing>. If your buying a transmission, they would want your old core, or transmission. If your buying an engine, they would want your old core, or engine.

Correctomundo! The core is the old unit. In this competitive market, the only reason I can do this is that I'm blessed to have one of the best engine builders in the world on staff here, allowing us to provide some 'enhanced' rebuilt units for those who need something extra.
Before anyone even asks, $2000 is for a low mileage used unit.

Nice to know there is someone providing cheap(*) engines if something go bad when I put my turbo

I'll PM you in a moment asking about other parts...

The (*) is because I guess the shipping of a complete engine (and the core on the other way) from Spain can be a lot.

Better is a difficult term to define in this regard. Paul Yaw is tremendous in my opinion from the things I've seen and read of him. I'd rather he be asked whether he was a better engine builder than Rick Engman (My guy) who definitely ranks up there with the ranks of Jim Mederer of Racing Beat; the type of people doing this thing for over 30 years, winning major races and championships. These guys represent tiny pieces of the 'success' puzzle that have allowed the rotary to still be here at all.

Wow.. 2K isn't bad. Hmm... you've got my mind turning when you mentioned the "best engine builders in the world" and "something extra" part together..

How much for a rebuilt 20B in exchange for my Renesis "core" that's running perfectly fine with 27K miles?

That's a good one Red. I wish we had 20Bs sitting on the floor over here. We used to have multiple 26Bs once upon a time.

Paul, ever think about making a Renesis rebuild DVD? You could package it with any basic parts one would need etc. Just a thought that with so few parts doing your own Renesis rebuild shouldn't be that hard if you don't have major damage.

It's a thought, however, there are things that don't translate that well on paper or film like experience, feel and tools. I know there are many people that market such things but I'm thinking, just as we were partly responsible for the highly successful book 'How to modify your RX7' by Dave Emmanuel with Jim Downing, I've begun documenting some of Ricks recent engine projects. This is at least for the sake of history.
There are pieces of equipment and tools that we use that are more than cost prohibitive to the individual trying to stack a motor including our lapping machine: this big German unit would probably cost $100,000. All engines he assembles are balanced beyond the tolerances that the production line can afford. We have a method of 'pre-breaking in' new rotor bearings that even most experienced engine builders are un-aware of. I could go on and on but I'll save it for another time.
Paul.
