If this is the stuff you use a paintbrush to apply with, then it is a really good product. I used it on my 8 and it was easy, and came out good, hard coating like a rubber feel to it, similar to the factory brake kits.

yes.. it is easy to use and really looks sharp.. comes in lots of colors..

The Brush is the real cool part :) no masking if your carful.

Thats pretty funny stuff, considering the paint you're applying will have warnings about causing birth defects and other things.

really hard to use if you plan on stenciling anything underneath...it's very high quality and all don't get me wrong...it's so "rubbery" that when you paint over your stencil it's not very easy to remove it after it has dried...

i used VHT silver as an undercoat and then applied the stencil after it dried...then i went over the entire caliper with black G2 and when i went to remove the stencil..it took off some parts that didn't need to come off...so i had to touch things up a little...

just an FYI..

yes.. i had the same issue.. So i went with Polaks Stickers. Stuck on top.. looks great and there still holding stong. :) Nice thing is I can change them if i want. Like i started with Black rx8 sticker and now i have white. on top . the black looks like a shadow and the white really pops out ! :)
Thanks Polak

So on a scale from 1-10 how hard was it to use stencil with this paint? I am going to do it this weekend and dont want to waste my time with stencils if not worth it.

thew 10-12-2004 02:53 PM

if i were you i would do it my way.. place the Polak Sticker on after you paint.. and walk away.. They have held niclely.. even after a few hard days at the track.. :)

Mr. Ed's rx-8 10-12-2004 02:56 PM

thew 10-12-2004 03:02 PM

its al most dead on.. Its a bit closer to Ford Blue.. but you cannot really tell the diff at all.

I may do mine in purple now :) Wife loves Purple

what do you mean by the sticker? You mean just let the stencil sit on top?
