Radio Power Harness

I saw a thread some time back that showed the wire harness for the radio. I'm getting some bad alternator whine (only when the battery is low) and want to see if I can ground the radio to another location. I searched, but had no luck.

Thanks.

What have you used to interface to the factory head and what amplifiers are you using. Did you ground direct to the battery as I had indicated earlier?

The radio is the stock bose system. I just want to know the pin out of the radio.

I have the head unit out of one right now. I'm busy today (lunch time right now = time to post) but later on I'll see what I can find for you.

It works, just have to download the attachment instead of simply viewing it.

Old images can be opened in a new window instead of viewing them.
Right-click and "open link in new window"

That's intuitive, lol. Could really have used that knowledge a lot over the past couple years... couldn't find a sticky about it before my ADD kicked in.

Thanks ya'll.

Adding some substance to this post:

(h) is a, "remote on" for a power antenna I believe (to power it to go up, and goes down when current is lost). [Don't believe a single RX-8 has a mounted antenna, let alone a power one.]
(j) is a, "remote on" for the factory Bose amp, if applicable to your vehicle's VIN. Note: see (1) below.
(n) is steering wheel controls #1 and the only wire you need for any RX-8 as far as I'm aware. (see (p))
(p) is steering wheel controls #2, but these are for call functions (accept call, hang up, issue voice command to infotainment center), so not available on RX-8s (at least S1s).

Notes:
(1) When Bose stereo deck is present the Bose amp is only provided 12v @ 20mA. Many pro-decks have an activation wire; I know Xtrons does for sure -- those activation wires should carry considerably less current, but regardless of the amount of current used anything should work.
