Is this too unreasonable

I dont know how many of you remember my thread about my problems with Jeff Hass mazda from when I got my car and a lugnut was missing, apparently they had to replace (or put in) a stud. But when I came to pick it up a few days later someone at the dealership had hit the back end of it. My salesman tells me that they will take car of it and he will call me to scedual a time to bring it in, at that time, next thursday.

Things dont work out so I take it in the thursday after that. I get the car back and it still has scratches on it, which I specifically told him about, then later once the sky clears and the sun shines, yup, he didnt match the paint!!! So I call them back and let them konw Im comming back on thursday, today, I go he definatly agrees that the paint is a different color. I point out the scratches he missed, claims they wont go away but he can touch them up. So I wait for an hour, The sratches that he said he would touch up look terrible, paint there is darker then the TiGrey.

I get home and it seems that the back area where It was meant ot be matched is now darker then the rest of the car. Oh and the scratches are still there. Maybe it was becaue I fell asleep at hte dealership and I didnt notice that it was darker or maybe it was from the angle of the sun but its a deep grey now. My question is, Am I being unreasonable if I call them up and say I want to get this professionally done, becuase apparently your touchup guy cant do it, and Im sending the Bill to you? If I go back to them this wil be my third trip just for the paint and who knows how long it could be before its actually done correctly.

I still love my car though =]

I don't think that's unreasonable at all. I don't know how successful you'll be, however. Is there another dealership in the area you can go to? Perhaps they'd be more comfortable if another Mazda dealership did the work rather than a 3rd party? Just a suggestion.

You know, you've had problems since day one and most, if not all, of the problems seem to be the fault of the dealership. Is there anyone you can write a letter to that's higher up in the food chain? You'd think MNAO customer service wouldn't be too happy with the performance of this dealership.

I have been meaning to call Mazda and file a complaint, just havnt had the time nor their number. All I know is Im avoiding that dealership unless I absolutly have to and the only case of that happening is for the paint.

I have to agree with Dazy, I would go higher up the food chain. You should be able to get the work done by a third party. Paint and body people need to have some time with the car to prep, paint, and cure the area otherwise they are just flying through it with a quick fix.

make sure to take before and after pictures. Better yet take pictures with the service guy standing beside the car...

You know the Mazda corportate offices are down in Sugarland.

PM me some details and I will see what I can do for you via my corporate freinds.

I wouldn't even have wasted my time with all this nonsense. Sue them in small claims court for a new bumper... or just tell them to give you a Mazdaspeed bumper (YES!!)

Your not unreasonable at all. They hit your car, that is nuts.

Actually it was the back left above the wheel, not the bumper.
