Think I should window tint?
I could get it done for free, which is a pretty good deal. I'm just not sure if window tinting is really necessary in Austin. Mo' stuff, mo' problems?

Is you joking, or is this serious? If you could get tint for free, why would you pass it up? Also, you're not sure if tint is necessary in Austin? Have you spent a summer here yet? And as for your "Mo stuff, mo problems" issue, as long as you get good quality film and it is installed properly, you really don't need to ever worry about it again. I say go for it. I tinted my car within the first week of owning it. It makes the car cooler when it's hot out, has UV blockers in the film which protects your interior and in my opinion it makes the car look better. By the way, how can you get it done for free? Dealer offer, friend at tint place or...?

Yes, get the tint. And make you put 5% on the side windows, two layers of 5% on the back window, and 20% on the entire front window.
Then, drive by the Lamar DPS office repeatedly. They like that. |
