Texas: coolant disposal?
i tried looking a bit, but where can i dispose of antifreeze in texas? autozone don't take it do they?
I don't think Autozone/Jiffy Lube will, the ones around me up north don't anyways.
Household Hazardous Waste Facility open Tue and Wed from 12 to 7: http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/sws/hhw.htm Up to 30 gallons of waste, they'll take your oil too. |
i beleive O'Reilys takes waste as well
we only take oil at autozone. NO GAS, NO CHEMICALS, NO COOLANT
by the way a lot of lube centers that offer coolant flushes will take used antifreeze if you ask them forgot to add that before
just do what i do, put it in a milk carton and when the business (ie jiffylube) is closed, put it at there back door or garage door LOL
haha you sneeky SOB
hell yeah, i went to O'Reilly's once to dispose of oil and they said it was a 5 dollar surcharge..... I went to Pep Boys to dispose of some batteries from work, they wanted a 10 dollar "core charge" per battery, Interstate gave me 10 bucks per battery... so screw them all
 |
dispose in rain gutters, sinks, toilets, storm drains, and etc
The city might take it, I know Pearland takes oil - so I assume they'll take coolant - check the locations though, it's not at city hall!
