RX-Club of Houston December Meeting - December 5th 2006
Join us for the best RX Club Meeting of the year…our annual Christmas Bash!
When: Tuesday, December 5th, 2006
Where: Freebird's World Burrito
Sheperd's Plaza (59 @ Shepard)
3745 Greenbriar
Time: 6pm - parking lot gathering
7pm - inside for dinner, fun & prizes
You may ask why this is the best meeting of the year? Well...first we get to share a little holiday cheer with friends in our RX family! It's a great meeting to bring out the significant others, kids, and just relax. Second, it's time for our yearly fundraising event!!! Each year our group exceeds past year donations and helps to make the holidays bright for others. This year we will again be sponsoring the Ronald McDonald House Santa Store.
"The Ronald McDonald House provides families the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful Christmas with gifts while being away from home at no additional expense. Their Community Room is transformed into a Santa Store filled with wonderful new gifts and goodies for all ages. Volunteers set up the Santa Store and arrange gifts in sections by gender and age for easy shopping. Santa Store opens two weeks before Christmas and is staffed with smiling Volunteers ready to assist and provide gift-wrapping. Parents are able to visit the Santa Store to select gifts for their Children. Children visit the Santa Store with a Volunteer escort to help select the perfect gift for their parents and siblings."
Gifts are needed for all ages. Please remember all gifts must be NEW and unwrapped!
Below is a sample of items needed for the Santa Store:
Infants – Clothing, diapers, toys, gift baskets w/pacifiers, rattles, bottles, blankets
Toddlers – Toys, Clothing
Children – Toys, sports related items (please no Play-dough or games with small pieces)
Teenagers – Jewelry, DVD players, DVD’s, CD’s, Purses, wallets, sports items, electronic hand games
Moms - Gift Baskets, jewelry, cologne, purses
Dads – Wallets, belts, shirts, jackets, socks, electric razors
Misc. – Large gift bags, baskets and gift cards to various department stores.

If you are unable to shop, bring cash/check as Lori has agreed to shop for items for the Santa Store with any cash donations received.
The Ronald McDonald House Santa Store would not be possible without the support from caring individuals like you!
