Official 2007 Oklahoma BBQ Thread - June 2007
 

OK guys and gals we are having the annual spring BBQ on June 2nd. There has been a change of scenery for this years event. We are moving the event from Tulsa to Oklahoma City for good reasoning. We have acces to the OKC Sheriffs traing Facility for the meet. For those of you who do not know what that is, we have a track to run on.

You will need to register as early as possible to ensure you spot on the track. We would love to have as large of a turn out as possible.

Registration should be up next week.

I am! Sounds like fun. Is it going to be primarily for attendees that want to race their cars? Do you'll have flyers or anything to pass out? Is that also the site where registration will take place?

I'm totally interested.

Plus the fact that OKC is much closer than Tulsa.

I'm interested, however, I will be in San Diego that weekend, so I will not be able to make it.

We it will be a gathering showing off your car and getting some time behind the seat if you choose to do so.

Registration will be on the Rotaryrendezvous site.

It will also include lunch. ITs been a big event in the past and we are lookiing to make it bigger.

Yes fliers will go out.

OK guys Registration is at www.rotaryrendezvous.com. The date is June 2nd. This year will be a little different. Unfortunately this year will cost but not much. It will be $10 to come. This will include a BBQ lunch and drinks. To run the track it will be $20 for the day and lunch. So in a nut shell:

To attend, eat lunch and hang out all day: $10

To attend eat lunch, and run the track: $20

Register early to ensure a spot on the track.

Could a MOD please sticky this. I need a way to keep track as well.

Just thought I'd let you guys know I purchased an 8 a couple of weeks ago as well. Its slower than the 3rd gen but its still fun.

I have to bail on this one, Didn't realize I would be flying back in from seattle the evening of the 2nd. Might come by in the evening if I'm not dead tired from the trip.

Sorry I didn't make it! I didn't like the weather. How was it?

Awesome. Couldn't have been better weather up here. Tons of track time and no one broke.

no track pictures???? I hope the guy w/ the black 2nd gen taking pictures posts them up. He has a good one of me sideways sliding towards him. His eyes got huge. It was too funny.

I have to say that was one of the funnest times I have had in a long time.

Nah, wish I had, but I saw him getting some good ones so I didn't bother with my meager photo taking skills. lol

Great pictures! My car is never in any of the group still shots. I think its because I put about 60 miles on the track w/ it.
