NOLA Motor is pretty cool. Karts have some good deals. You can buy any number of sessions and the more you buy, the bigger the discount. $25 for a 10 min sessioin. $45 for 2 sessions; $65 for 3, $85 for 4, etc., or something like that. I am not sure about a meet. You may want to call them or ask on their forums. And make sure nothing is going on there that weekend. The AMA Racing and WERA events took up most of the paddock for a week. They also have 2 restaurants, Stanley at the track (1 in clubhouse, the other in Kart clubhouse) and the food is good for burgers and stuff.

As far as alt plans if it rains, I say we just move it in the event of rain.

Also, Hesselrode, how the heck are you getting 18.5 MPG? Lots of highway driving?

I was just throwing it out there, I been there before. It was pretty fun. The lake is still a good choice, I live maybe 15-20mins away with traffic.

Brand new engine, new coils, new plugs, no cat? If you would have looked a week ago it was almost 22. I replaced my o2 sensor and now I'm getting less. 12.9mpg at 90-100mph and 19mpg at 70mph.

I have a new car and I am getting the same as 1.3. I did get 20 at 70mph a few weeks ago when I needed to go across the Lake. Not ready to get rid of the cat yet. What test tube did you use to replace the cat? I'm still under 10K miles, so I don't want to put something on that voids the warranty. Heck, I haven't even ordered the air intake parts yet...and I love the RB air scoop.

If we have a small turnout, it should be no problem at NOLA Motor. And, like I said, they have cool facilities. We can probably bring beers to drink after Karting.

A friend of mine runs a Mazda Pro Formula at NOLA Motor. I just sent him a msg asking if he was planning on testing 8/5/12. Are you guys interested in seeing his car run? I have seen him run a few times and it is really cool to see our engine run in an open wheel car. He turns pretty good times on the circuit.

Pifff Hesselrode be driving all highway, that's how he gets those good numbers. :p

Keep it under 75 if you want good mpgs, something happens above that, the car starts running rich (14.1 af) the faster you go the lower the ratio, I been monitoring mine for about 2 months now via goodbox.

I'm down for whatever, I took Sunday off I know Hesselrode has unexpected drill that weekend and won't be available till 4-5pm.

I still pick lakefront, but nolamotor is my second choice.

I get about 16-17 in town, but when I mean town I mean I drive down belle chases highway to Harvey. So I can get 60mph on there which is your best mpg 60-65. I've gotten 26mpg on the highway going 60 behind an 18 wheeler. At 155mph you'll get about 7-8mpg. Ask me how I know.

I do more city than anything. Drove across Causeway today at 70 and got some great mileage. Damn I need to clean my car.

Do we have a headcount yet?

And 1.3, if you are at corner of W.Esp and Chateau, look in the back of 909 W. Esp. If you see a (dirty right now) SBM, stop off at Suite 203.

Looking forward to this and to some decent weather so I can detail the car and install the puddle lights.

I'm forever trapped at SunLake Apartments. Almost bought a house last month but it didn't work out, I was outbid and these shiesty bastards wouldn't tell me by how much (I basically would have to bid blind), so I backed out and looking around some more.

Without a direct address I'm useless. You have to understand, I grew up in the boonies. There was 3 roads, LA1, LA308 & LA3235, all run north to south. I have ZERO understanding of how to navigate without my GPS unless I been there a few times.

I haven't washed my car since May But I did give it 3 coats of wax when I did

Meet will be the parking lot across from Landrys (Lakefront area). 8/5/12, Start meeting around 4 (I should be there around 3:30).

I'll be bring my laptop/ATR and AP if anyone wants to check it out and can't decide if they want one. I'll also dig around and see if I got any parts laying around to try to sell them (Cheap).

I got a couple of parts as well. I will be at the meet probably around 1700 or so. Hey Shawn, don't forget to get your code reader, as I would like to use it while I am there to randomly read my codes, since my light is always on.

You aren't gonna believe this. A/C went out today with only 9991 miles on the car. Damn this hot a$$ summer. Bringing it to Keith early tomorrow but not sure what the problem is or how long it will take to get it back.

Bring it Sunday, I may be able to fix your issue. If it needs parts, I can do that too. Got my a/c condenser for $60 and installed it and vacuumed it out and put new freon in. Colder than ever!!

^^^ Probably, though this one is so quiet and I don't smell like exhaust every time I get out the car. Miss those days!

Mine isn't quiet at all and the smell nearly chokes you when near the exhaust.
