Some might say cut your losses and find another 8.
From what I've heard over the years is ATs are more expensive to rebuild, Idk if it's true.
You might find another 8 with a healthy engine for what you would spend on a rebuild.

Give a call to rotary performance in Garland, Texas, near Dallas,

I know not near you, but they can maybe give you some answers and direct you to the best rotary folks closer to San Antonio. They know their stuff and have done it all with rotaries, and still do. They are the only ones I let touch my 2008 40th Anniversary Edition RX8.

cut your losses, not worth it for an AT RX8.

and go search that company name on RX7Club.

I guess i better steer clear of any shop/parts store with the likes of “performance” in the name dealing with Rx7s or Rx8s . It was a tossup between them and Lucky 7 for who was to do my car. Glad I made the right choice.

edit; gave them the benefit of the doubt because I got a quick response in regards to my project back in 2020 but I suppose things have changed.
