Looking for good mechanic

I need to install shocks in my 04. I've gone to a couple garages for an estimate and they seemed pretty clueless on the RX8. I feel more than "capable" of installing them, I just not sure I can spare the time for it. I'm in Arlington, TX. I don't even mind paying someone here to do it. I have shocks from a 2011 and will need to compress the springs to install the new bushings and top hat.

I'm sure I will run across other "issues" along the way, so it would be nice to get some recommendations on a known, good, RX8 mechanic.

Worst case, I just do it, but I'd rather just have it done.

iirc the rear shocks have different mounting spots on the 2s as compared to the s1 rx8. any half decent mechanic can change shocks on an 8

Hello, Turman-ator

I know it isnt close to you, but I have had really good experiences with Ari Yallon at RX7.com. He is a few miles north east of downtown Dallas. Nice guy, very knowledgeable about RX7 and RX8. He did my suspension swap in February. Great work, everything done right the first time, and I didnt even need an alignment afterwards.

He can be reached at 330-776-8279 (Ohio number, Dallas shop. Go figure)

Thanks for the replies. What should I expect to pay for the work anyway?
